Omg now I can't stop staring at the lips- by far absolute joke she's wearing what concealer on them? And the eyebrows. She's surely taking the piss or trolling or is really so far up her own ass and has no idea how she really looks. Surely Alina could have said hey slap some lipstick on and blush so you don't look like a corpse?

The eyebrows….I cant see how she thinks they look better like that!! They'd look so much better without so much filling in

She looks so dehydrated in that photo I feel like *I* need a glass of water. Is she trying to be Halloween decorations? She looks like a dried out corn husk.

some of you have asked meowed
… When I see a post like "the best tacos in LA" I totally skip it, because I live on the East Coast (…) Now, if someone put any effort in and talked about how to recreate a few great tacos when you don't have easy access to all the "correct" ingredients, THAT I would read…

Ditto this. The LA posts are useless to a majority of readers. I recall reading on an analytics site that around 55% of her readers were American – so how many of those live in LA? You are right that they could have made it relevant by adding a recipe- but plagiarizing is so time consuming.

I think it was just an excuse to eat a lot of tacos in the name of "research". The food/ recipes content has been on a steady decline for months. When was the last time Emily posted a recipe herself?? Okay, I used her search bar – the last time was in May with her Eton Mess recipe – which is just strawberries, whipped cream, and meringues that she advises buying from Trader Joes. That's a long time ago for someone who has 'Food" as the second item on their menu bar.

What does Emily do again?

p.s. haha those eyebrows! lmao

I actually thought Tacos in LA was a refreshing change from "here's the various different ways everyone on our team wipes their ass!" bullshit she seems to think is super cool and edgy. Although, yeah I mean this is not useful to about 95% of her readers. So…what's the point?

While I agree with you, I also agree with some of you have asked.  I'm in Chicago, and originally from the East Coast.  LA taco joints have no relevance to me, so I don't even click.  And my bestie lives in LA, so when I visit I defer to her for all things food.

I feel like Cuppy reverts to LA-centric posts often enough that it's a problem for a blog with such wide readership.

I also found this post a nice departure from their regular narcissistic nonsense.  It would be a better series than 'what's Goober eating', if they did this sort of rundown for different foods in cities other than LA though.  Cups may even get over her phobias surrounding purchasing clothes to travel in, putting them in luggage, and leaving the house.

Taco post was chirpy and well-written so I'm guessing Leslie wrote it. I'm in the LA area and even I'm indifferent to these posts because they're one long redundant list to me. I'm not gonna drive an hour to stand in line for tacos, I don't care how good they are. At least they did their research, ie, they ate out a lot, as usual.

I agree with the person who said it would be so much more interesting and relatable if they took their favorite taco — something relatively down to earth, like the shrimp taco or chorizo quesadilla – and attempted to recreate it at home. But that would take actual work, and Cuppy is allergic to work. She's still reeling from jetlag!  sfun_nopity

Came on here today to specifically mention the same thing everyone else is talking about. I'm another east coast girl, and I just feel as though I've read SO MANY posts about things to do (particularly food) in LA AND it really does alienate the readers that aren't in that ONE city. She needs to do lots of things… we all know this… but how does she thinknow posting so much about LA is going to elevate anybody's everyday life that lives anywhere else? There's no point I'm me reading about yet ANOTHER taco that I cannot eat.

Exactly.

I did a quick (but not thorough) search of her LA-centric posts:

Best Tacos in L.A.

L.A. bucket list

L.A.'s Best Chocolate Chip Cookies (she couldn't come up with a better tagline?)

Street Eats

Best Cupcakes in L.A.

Summer To Do List (most of it only applied to people in or around the L.A. area)

Downtown food crawl: Grand Central Market (L.A. again)

Our World Series (always includes shit that only applies to L.A.)

Alina's Favorite Places in L.A. (Part I)

Lunch with a Side of Art (she told us about museums in L.A. and where we can eat beforehand)

Jennifer Meyer's Unknown L.A. Guide

My Guide to L.A.

Guide to L.A: Favorite Eats

L.A. Life: New Stone Age

Grand Central Market

My Updated Guide to L.A.

Guide to L.A.: Part 1

L.A. Street Food Fest

Ice Cream Sandwich Truck (L.A. truck of course)

These are all real post titles.

She is trying so hard to be one of those "throw my hair up in a light ponytail" type girls but always comes out looking so STUPID! The outfit is decent but that hair is so tragic.

She reminds me of those girls in my university who'd come to class with their hair like this and in sweats or pyjamas but a full face of makeup.

she is a lunatic. that hair. those lips. the wrinkled clothes. its all too much to bear. if i showed up to a business meeting looking like that my colleges would take me to the nurse station.

and her shoes are beat to shit for something she was so precious about…

I'm sorry but no the outfit is horrible.  My fired, totally accurately, pointed out that her hair is like a Dr. Seuss character. The earrings are ridiculous and with a crisp(ish?) white shirt, dark blue pants, black shoes, cream clutch and RED NAILS she's going pink silly spring earrings?

Why does she carry a clutch during the day to business meetings?

the shoes ARE dated.  Don't link me to Gucci and think you actually know what's going on here.  Your shoes are what I wore to a grade 11 dance back in 1999. MAYBE cute with a kate spade or reformation type dress but not this semi-business casual look you're working?

Nooooooooo. She cannot be serious with that hair. WTF?! The only time your hair should look like that is when you're washing your face (which we know she doesn't do)
