bandwagon

I like her and I guess I can't snark on her financial choices; it's not like she's neglecting her home or kids or job (or so it appears). So she's an unoriginal, monied shopper who also happens to be engaging with readers, gainfully employed, and dedicated to one brand.

Still way better than the rest….

I actually find her responses to comments to be really over the top gushing and annoying. She doesn't show me in any way that she's intelligent. She doesn't actually say anything meaningful. She profusely thanks anyone that tells her they like her outfit, but she doesn't engage in a real way.

I like Gigi a lot and I think she seems very real and genuine. This one does not strike me as real and genuine. It's too much. And I really can't get past the buying everything in the store and then wearing it exactly like the mannequin. Of course she can spend her money however she wants, but when she disclosed the information in a public way, I also get to judge her!

Word to all of this.  She is very nice but you're right, it's over-the-top.  At least she responds to comments, though.  Meh.  She's pretty harmless I suppose but I still can't get over the quantity of stuff she buys.  Consumer-level: epic.

Gigi is the bomb.

She's definitely harmless, I just had to make a post about the crazy level of shopping.  And the copying of the catalog shots and manequins.  And I am a big shopper.  So, to shock me takes a lot!

^^Are we the same person?  I also shop a LOT (and probably 80% of it is J Crew!) but it is nowhere near this level.  Plus I refuse to buy anything full price from J Crew as I know it will be on sale in like, a week.  dance

While I do think she spends a lot of money, she is a pretty sweet person and supports other bloggers unlike half these other chicks.

And before someone suggests it based on my username, I am NOT Rynetta! sani_elephantdance

I find the amount of money she spends to be crazy. Six – nine thousand dollars in 4 weeks?! However, I also agree that she seems very nice– and I do appreciate your point that she is always referencing or tagging other bloggers. I actually also appreciate that she is not a stick thin blogger, so I wish her reviews had more detail to them.

I agree with this. I think I've commented on some of her stuff in the past, and she's very sweet. If I only posted all my J.Crew stuff like she did, where would I be now?…..

Maybe she's a chronic returner? Like she just wears stuff once for the blog and it goes back to the store? Because that amount of money spent on J Crew of all things is staggering. I like J Crew, but…damn.

Oh I am so glad there is a separate thread now for Rynetta, there was some discussion of her (and I posted a comment there) in the Gigi thread. Granted I am also an avid JCREW shopper, but like majority of the people who has common sense, knows that everything eventually goes on sale or promo there. I like Gigi and a few other JCREW bloggers who also shops a ton, but they don’t always buy/keep everything they try on and majority of them will make comments like “while I love this piece, I would wait to get it on sale”.

I have to say I had been extremely curious as to how much Rynetta spent a month on avg. at JCREW. She does buy everything at full price when its first released. A blazer is about $200 a pop, pencil skirt is anywhere between $120-$200 depending on the material. Collection pieces are about double the price. BUT what truly kills me though is that she buys the SAME SHIT every month, on repeat – Blazers, pencil skirts and loafers. I think she buys every single pencil skirt in different material and colors every season if it comes in her size, same goes for Blazers. Off the top of my head I think she has at least 4 of the Regent Blazer in different colors from this past season. Don’t get me started on those floral necklaces. I also own a few statement necklaces from JCREW and I love them, the problem with JCREW is, if you own 1 piece, you owned every one of them. They are just variations on colors of basically the same design.

I am sure Rynetta is harmless, compare to these other vapid bloggers but I just don’t get what the hell her blog is for. Is she an English Professor? She hardly writes more than 2 sentences on her blog post. Which is fine, if you are more a picture-centric blogger, but she pose at most 2 pics of her “review” of the merchandize, from the same angle (top down) which is probably a flattering angle but if you intend to be a “review” blog, shouldn’t you be snapping pics of different angles to see how the clothing fit? I say this a 100 times, I just don’t get what the point of her blog is.

I've said it in the comment with my other post, I think there is so much potential Rynetta can do with her blog because she isn't your typical petite white blonde hair stick-figure size 000000000 blogger, and she is supposedly intelligent. SO why not just invest in a little more time and creativity in your blog? It can't be taking that much more time then what she already spent on snapping pictures of JCREW mannequins every week.

She does fitting room reviews.  She is great.  She's an actress as well and I love the little peeks into her professional life.  She seems very real and down-to-earth.  She's also great about answering questions either on her blog or her IG.

Ok I checked this blog out because I thought surely you cats were exaggerating but oh dear lord she does literally take pictures of mannequins and copy every single detail!  OH MY GOD.  sfun_deadhorse

I don't really understand WHY someone would do this?!  is it just a review blog, exclusive to Jcrew?  I notice she always tells readers if something fits tts or whatever.  But like… just write a review on the website then…?

Definitely one of the most pointless blogs I've ever read.

Gaslighting my own farts since 2015.

I don't think she would have been invited to the J Crew presentation if she were really returning all of that stuff. She must seriously be their best customer!

This was posted on 8/24. Wasn't it still like 100 degrees out? Her husband (in the door reflection) is wearing shorts and t-shirt, while she is decked on in a f-king wool cape because the new JCREW catalog that was released that week says it is FALL now b***hes.
