Well, she just posted an IG pic of a bunch of J Crew boxes.  I wonder how much $$$ is in those boxes?  There was a new rollout on Tuesday so I imagine this is all brand new, full-price stuff that she will "LOOOVVVVE."  Shall we take bets on if there's another Regent blazer in there?  Or another pair of Biella loafers? laugh

I just checked out her insta…what IN THE WORLD is going on below her waist here? Did she cut, crop, trim, glow the pic?

Don't forget the pencil skirts, she probably ordered 11 pencil skirts in all the colors from the last rollout.

I don't follow her but I do like that she is a professional with a career outside of blogging. I am always more forgiving of design and photo quality and what not for folks who have real jobs. Plus she is cute and works in the same field as me so from my quick once over I think she's a somi!

Rynetta's thing is to put together the mannequin's outfits and show everyone what a real person looks like in them.  I like her, and don't expect her to become creative with her separates.  I think she's pretty cute, and actually very nice to people, unlike Rachel Parcell and her fan girls.  Rynetta is someone I wouldn't mind meeting up with for a chat.  I like that she responds to her readers.

She does spend a lot on her collection, but that's certainly her prerogative.  I have some JCrew things too, but have learned to rarely (if ever) buy at full price.  I just hope the brand can turn itself around in the coming years because their ill-fitting, poor quality items from the last couple of years are pretty dismal.

Agreed.

I have no problem with the amount of money she spends.  It's a crazy amount, but you earned it–spend it how you want. However, I would take the time to visit Rynetta's blog daily if she actually reviewed products. Telling me it's great doesn't tell me anything about the fit of the garment, the feel of the fabric, etc.. She usually says she loves it and "I took this in my usual size." That's it. I've taken to reading the actual reviews on the J.Crew website rather than visiting her site simply because she doesn't share any product information. For the amount of blazers and pencil skirts she owns, you'd think she could give us a few words about why she thinks these items are so great!

Why are the loafers your go-to?  Did you have to break them in or did they give you blisters at first?  How do they fit? (They run a half size big if anyone cares; I have the calf hair pair she purchased). This seems to be the overriding theme…just give us more info about the stuff you are "reviewing."  If you don't, you can't really call it a review, can you?

I would like to see more in-depth reviews from Rynetta in regards to fit of items, textures of fabrics, cuts, etc. As for spending $300 on a pair of jeweled D'orsays, ain't happening anytime soon for me. I personally don't think J. Crew is ever worth paying for full price for. Rynetta is a total sweetheart though, I cannot snark on her at all. She and her husband both have professional careers and no kids. Not having children buys you a lot of J. Crew with a really great dual income. "Go girl" is all I can say. She got invited to NYFW by J. Crew personally, none of us did.idontknow

Like others have said, I really love that Rynetta and Gigi are WOC bloggers when most J.Crew bloggers are thin white women that fit a certain ideal.  I love that Gigi began opening up about being an actor/voice actor has really brought a new light to her blog.  Similarly, I think Rynetta should open up a bit more and show her personality more. As is, all we get is "LOVE" or "Must have" as reviews. I would love a more thorough review and criticism behind each "LOVEd" item.

As for other J.Crew bloggers that are decent with reviews.

I like Gigi's Gone Shopping, she's been doing it a while.

http://shoperarach.blogspot.com is good, but has a mix of BR/J.Crew/Anthro

http://1moreshoppingblog.blogspot.com is boring, but does consistent Loft/J.Crew dressing room shots

http://audreybella.blogspot.com seems to have fit issues and I question some of her choices, but is good for Tory Burch/J.Crew/BR/Anthro dressing room reviews. She's petite, which I appreciate.

Thanks for sharing these spikedcoffee! Just skimmed the J. Crew Aficionada blog where all of them are really active and saw there's a weekly post where people leave some detailed reviews in the comments. You have to know the name of the specific item that you're searching for though, which can be a pain.

Wow it's pretty amazing she was invited to the show! I didn't think J Crew worked with bloggers that weren't at the rstyle top 10 level.

You're right, more in-depth reviews would be good, maybe she'll do that eventually.

It's a good thing J. Crew didn't invite me to Fashion Week because I would have been a bit too honest about their merchandise recently:  lower quality, ill-fitting, too high priced, and sometimes the website photos don't accurately depict the item.  Maybe there is hope though with a new design team.  They could can Jenna Lyons and it wouldn't break my heart, either.  LOL

omg preach. i swear half of the j crew stuff i bought within the last year didn't make it through one wash (sweaters with holes, t shirts just.. not good). sigh.

i don't mind rynetta. i think she's very sweet, and i think we are similar sizes so i can appreciate seeing it on someone with my build if i do want to buy something on super sale that's non refundable.

I posted earlier that I like Rynetta but wished she posted more detailed reviews. Her post on Fashion Week/J Crew's show is a perfect example. What did you and Jenna Lyons talk about? How did she invite you- a letter? Call? What did you think of the clothes they showed? How was it being at Fashion Week for the first time?

People are like, "cool necklace" on her Instagram and she's like, "OMG, Thank you SO much.  You are such a beautiful doll."  And its like, did you make the necklace?  Design it?  No.  All you did was go into a store, open your wallet and buy every necklace the store made.  There no need to say, Thank you SO much.  A simple "thanks" would suffice.  Its over the top and strange.

I also dug deep on her Instagram and she posted at some point that she doesn't like to do anything, except with her husband.  So, where is she wearing all these clothes?

Her front stoop, the driveway, the hallway to her bedroom, the mall to get more jcrew…?

I wonder if her personal shopper has named her firstborn "rynetta", I sure hope so!  That's a dream client!

I think her and Gigi look absolutely horrible in 99% of the stuff they put on.  Their blogs have actually prevented me from buying something from J Crew

Don't follow this person,  just wandered into this thread, but yes, I've really noticed that the quality of the clothing has gone WAY down hill. I wore a striped t-shirt a total of three times and when I pulled it out of the wash, there were little holes under the armpit. I mean, it wasn't like I was exercising in it or moving  my arms every which way. I used to buy a lot of stuff there. No more. They've even stopped sending me catalogs in the mail because I rarely buy from them now.
