Maybe I am just too cynical, but I have a really hard time believing that in a family of 4 girls there is no jealousy, cattiness, or favorites.

Perhaps there is some pressure on Emily to have her blog pull in the kind of income that Rachel's does to help with their constant shopping

I posted my comments on the PP thread so I won't rehash my comments here but still, HOW does she wear shit like that with a toddler? I am a mother myself and there are days where I dress up for work, but if I'm home with my kid there is just no way I will be wearing pencil skirts with stilettos.

WTF is going on with the hair? And also that outfit is so problematic, where should i begin….each piece is nice on its own with its unique statement, you only need to showcase one piece at a time but when she throw all of them together it's like she can't decide what to wear so she just put all of them on, there's just too much going on you don't know where to rest your eyes on – the flame color peplum is competing with the shiny polka dots skirt which is competing with the studded Valentino is a color that does not complement the outfit at all.

And she wants to be a fashion blogger? Really? Lets be serious here.

She has the time because she's always over at her mom's house. Always. Plus, her daughter has been sick with strep throat yet Emily is still taking time away from her to get her blog pictures done or worse, bringing the poor thing with while mommy plays dress up. My 2 yr old nephew had strep a few months ago and he was so miserable that my SIL felt guilty leaving him only long enough to take her other kids to school. I can't even imagine her leaving him to go take pictures of herself for her blog.

Emily gives off the impression that Capri is just a great accessory and when she doesn't work with her outfit she's nowhere to be seen. Weird for a girl who is trying to buddy up all the other mommy bloggers. She needs to decide what her blog is, a fashion blog or a mommy blog.

Both of their blogs are just so boring, trying to be a mashup of Atlantic-Pacific (outfit photos with nothing else) and mommy/lifestyle/DIY/decor blogs. Neither one offers anything new in terms of the blog world, they are both SO LATE to the bandwagon. I actually find both their archives entertaining because they actually wrote shit on their blogs, even is it was vapid and only involved where they ate/what movies they saw/where they shopped.

It's sad that Emily changed her blog, it really is basically a copy of Rachel's only with a kid added. I almost feel bad, but not quite.

It makes me wonder if someone else is doing the writing/planning for both of them, considering Rachel's work with stylists it wouldn't really shock me.

Well Rachel has a "media manager", and I'm sure Emily uses her as well.

Her "media manager" is hardly one. She's just some chick that Rachel is friends with. She's not even working in that area, she's trying to be a 3rd grade teacher. Oh, and she does lash extensions to pick money up on the side. Couldn't their money buy someone who actually knows what they're doing?

She is going to be a shock when she moves to LA away from her family this summer. No more free childcare while she does her fashion thing.

How do you guys know she's moving to LA? I remember her post that Taylor got a JP Morgan internship for a summer but has he gotten hired? I can't picture this girl away from her family… Who would watch her kid for starters… And that's funny that someone said she treats her daughter like an accessory. Rachel actually had a post where she called Capri her greatest accessory.

I find it kinda hilarious how Emily tries so hard to dress Capri like a child model. Her daughter isn't child model material. They can put all the bows they want on her, but she looks like a regular kid whose grumpy and doesn't want her picture taken.

Oh, and here comes the Celine. Be prepared to see that bag for the rest of "Ivory lanes" life. I get that the Celine is cool, but does she really think it was a worthwhile investment to get the exact same bag (sans color) as her sister? She couldn't even vary it up by getting the Celine phantom instead? I feel like these blogs are almost identical.

Emily's relationship with Capri is exactly why the majority of American culture encourages women to mature into adulthood before procreating. It almost seems like Emily graduated from high school and immediately focused her attention on finding a husband and fulfilling her Mormon obligations. Consequently, she never developed her interests, accomplishments, and identity. Since she became a mother at such a young age, it almost seems like she is trying to thrust her daughter into the fashion blogging world so she can achieve the success she probably always wanted but never gave herself the time to find. I am twenty four years old, the same age as Emily, and babysitting my younger sister is enough interaction with children for me. I would like to be a mom, but not until I have enough experience to raise a child.

I would say the dual "mommy blogger" bit is smart on Emily's part.  It's the one detail that sets her apart from Rachel (at the moment anyway).  Plus, it won't be long before Emily looks like her own mother and is saddled with 4 children.  It's best to start the "transition" now.  I think the strengths of Rachel and Emily's blogs are their personal lives, not their fashion.  They are good-looking, spoiled, yet Mormon.  People love snarking on combinations like that.  They've already shown they'll sell out for anything (i.e. Poshlocket).  They may as well exploit their personal lives like sharing more vapid stories about taking a sick baby to the mall because she just had to shop.

Once again, designer salad with today's outfit.  Particularly boring.  And I'm sorry, but I HATE HATE HATE those giant headbands on little girls.
