“Make me a sandwich.”

That’s what my boyfriend,  E,  asks without fail every morning. Not “babe, where are my keys?” Not, “honey, where are my socks?” And no, not even,  “c’mon, just the tip?”

Aaaaaand I'm done.

I fail to see the question in the sentence "Make me a sandwich." Pretty sure he's not asking anything.

Instead of answering her boyfriend's requests for a sandwich, she should be asking herself if she has any self respect left. This whole thing is so sad.

Also, this http://300sandwiches.com/sandwich-131-the-sexy-back-project-sweet-and-sour-sloppy-joes/ is making me feel like she has a big self esteem problem. It is sad, because whatever she does is for her boyfriend, not for herself and her own satisfaction.

Reading the gawker article and then this woman's post, I can't NOT see a vampire when I see pics of the boyfriend. And, yeah, I second the wig comment.

Thirding the wig. And The Spin Diaries is now added to my blogroll because she is HILARIOUS.dance

And here we go! http://nypost.com/2013/11/13/300-sandwiches-blogger-signs-book-deal/

It's due out around Valentine's Day of 2015. What do you want to bet that's when the magical 300th sandwich gets made?

Has it SERIOUSLY already been getting pitched as a movie along the lines of that "Julie & Julia" blog-and-life shit? Someone kill me. I just can't with the internets anymore. Someone please tell me the rumors aren't true. I thought that movie poster was a joke, I hope it didn't give anyone an idea.

We can only hope the book does embarrassingly badly so that no one goes after the movie market. Maybe? http://flavorwire.com/424981/who-exactly-will-buy-the-300-sandwiches-book

From the Flavorwire article:

"As a cookbook, it’s a pretty simple one that might actually appeal to people who don’t already know how to make very easy and cheap sandwiches."

That's the crux of it, really. People love looking at pictures of food, and watching people preparing food (see: the popularity of the Food Network), but Americans don't really like to cook. So, if this lady plays her cards right, the 300 Sandwiches book will hit the sweet spot: sweet romantical anecdotes + dating/romance tips + "recipes" for sandwiches that don't require any actual cooking.

I mean, have you seen Rachael Ray or Sandra Lee's recipes? They're not really recipes at all, just slapping together prepared ingredients. People love that shit. "Look, I have a cookbook! I'm cooking!"

From the flavorwire article

"But the real question is: will it sell? I’m going to say it won’t, based entirely on the fact that the vast majority of the things written about Stephanie Smith and her blog were incredibly negative. Sure, controversy makes for fame, but there’s a vast difference between people who hate-read a blog to make fun of it and people who actually pay money to buy a book."

It will probably be bought as a valentine gift and then sent to the remainders bin.

At least with 40 Days of Dating pukepeople were invested in their story until they got all douchey.

All of her sandwiches looked way too time consuming anyway. And they were not an appealing couple. At least the 40 days guy was hot, this dude is um less so.
