Shrug b***h, you nailed it. She has become almost as twee as Jenna. I'm over her.

And her recent recipes aren't even any good anymore! But I just clicked over to her site to see if she'd posted anything that didn't look like it would give me the shits immediately after eating it, and she has a (tiny) new "About" pic at the bottom of the site….but the one on her About page is still 20 pounds and six dye jobs ago.

Let the record show that, out of the 12 links in today's roundup, 3 of them were to Thought Catalog.

Girl, you need a new shtick.

LOL…i *honestly* figured they were employing her to endorse them or something. she links to Thought Catalog as if it's Bible scripture to her. Not a crime, of course, but still something that makes me scratch my head. She seems to really miss being in her twenties.

I admit that I do keep her on my reader just so I can scroll down to see the recipe.

I am three years younger than this girl and keep thinking in my head "Gah, graduate from high school already." The artificial, entirely contrived writer's voice drives me insane.  I literally only keep her around for the recipes.

Me too. And yet, I would never make any of them… they're ridiculously high in calories. The only thing I've made from her is the sweet potato/roasted grape/goat cheese dish (which was really, really delicious) and the Crazy Feta (which was really, really delicious).

I still read only because–while I totally agree about her voice, and rarely read the little intros anymore–all of the recipes from her blog that I've tried have come out great.  Like, things that people RAVE about when I bring them to parties.  Also, I do think she's worked pretty hard (or hard, by blogging standards) to get where she is.  It does seem lately like she's running out of ideas, but I also wonder if she's deliberately trying to post more reasonable, dinner recipes.

I like to look but I don't make. It's too much sugar. And one thing that bothers me across all blog genres is the presentation of excess as manageable reality. I think it's ridiculous to say that you did nothing but eat chocolate peanut butter bacon salted caramel vanilla bean whipped cream cheese cupcakes all day, and then made thai chicken pepper jack roasted mushroom spinach kale caramelized goat cheese enchiladas and ate the whole pan too.

I feel like Joy the Baker manages the kind of style that How Sweet attempts but in an actual adult way that isn't grating and godawful.

Is anyone majorly rolling their eyes at her "beauty favorites" monthly posts? She has SO MUCH SHIT. It honestly blows my mind how someone can spend that much money on beauty products (like $150 perfume) and then have enough new products to feature the next month. It honestly disgusts me.

If her day in the life post is any indication, girlfriend needs to get a job stat.

I'm convinced that the amount of time these women spend alone with their own thoughts isn't healthy.

Not only was it on sale but I also had 20% off, which means it was basically free. (<– girl math.)

Girl math?!! I can't take her.

Wake up. Bacon. Cheese. Make up. Complain about husband. Bacon. Chocolate. Tv. Bed.
