Oh.. She's human at least. Here's her lay blog post admitting she struggles loving her husband and that she needs more reference than just the Bible. Interesting read…

Oh lord this blog is disturbing.

He has a traumatic brain injury. Considering this, she has little to no scientific knowledge (certainly no language) of this topic. She just talks about his cognitive functioning at the age of….

This is not a descriptive or prescriptive way to explain his injury. From his symptoms I can probably guess and know better than her how he naught react to…well…everything. He has no impulse control AT ALL. And this is what scares me the most about them having a baby in the house.

Since when do chiropractors fix brain injuries????? Wow this is SO strange. Such denial.
I really hate religion- for all the reasons in this blog.angry

I agree. That poor child.

I had no idea about the Darling blog until I read about it here, so I read a few of her posts.  I'm at once deeply saddened and horrified.

I'm not a lawyer, but in most states a physical relationship with an underage or mentally incapacitated person is statutory rape/ sexual assault/ sexual battery.

Not to get too TMI about their marriage, but wouldn't their sexual relationship fall under that?

Cale has TBI; he is mentally not the man he was. There is no way he is reacting to her like the husband she remembers.  He's reacting like a teenage boy.

He is never again going to be that husband. And instead of being married with 1 child and another on the way, she is essentially a single mother with an unruly teenager, a baby and another coming.

Her latest blog post was depressing. It seems like her mom has become her "partner" in a sense and Caleb is another child.

Her kid is super cute, though.

She had her baby boy in October and shared pictures and video that seemed nicely done.  I always feel sad when I read her blog, though.   She's not only raising two small children but has to cope with her husband's struggles after a severe head injury and he seems to require constant supervision.   It just seems like so much work for such a young woman.

I think her mom moved in with them now, that would be a big help with Cale and 2 little ones. I think she will stop with 2 kids, I think she knows Cale is a handful already and anymore than 2 will be too much. It seems Cale is better off physically and mentally than Ian(Ian and Larissa). Larissa who is also pregnant and they quit blogging.

I honestly have only a small amount of sympathy for her – yes, the accident was a tragedy and the difficulties of trying to be a caregiver to someone with that level of TBI is terrifying and exhausting.

But on the other hand – she started having children with him *after* his TBI.  I am not sure how she thought this would work out.

That's how I feel too. I'm sorry that her husband had the accident and therefore the life they planned didn't happen.

However, she tries so hard to pretend that things are normal and she had two babies knowing full well that her husband requires so much care. Babies require a lot of time and care too. Anyone in her situation would be stressed, but this is a decision she made knowing it would be hard. I have a really hard time feeling any empathy for her. I think what she did to go along with her dreams regardless of what happened was extremely selfish.

Her husband, her kids, and her family who are left to cope with the poor decisions she made, I feel terrible for them, but not so much for her.
