Oh god I couldn't even read this entire thread because I was too excited to chime in: I LOVE GILMORE GIRLS.

Emily, Jess, Max, Babette, Lorelai, Sookie and Gil are all perfection. Oh and Richard. I love Richard. I loved the tender moments between Richard and Lorelai and wish there could have been more of them.

I hated Chris. Chris and Lorelai were never meant to be together! They were bound together by Rory and they obviously had a deep love of each other from their youth but if there hadn't been a baby the love would have naturally died out.

I could literally watch Gilmore Girls every single day. While it was on the air I watched it religiously. I've got all 7 seasons on DVD and still do GG marathons from time to time. My dad loves it too, haha!

a whole lot of work that I've streamlined ;)

It's funny, growing up I caught an episode here and there but never really got into it. I recently bought the first season on apple tv and watched it, and FELL IN LOVE. Seriously, how did I not think it was that great in high school?! SO. GREAT.

So excited I found this thread!  Long time GOMI lurker–can't get enough of you hamcats!

GG is my go to when I am sick in bed, and once I start watching Ep.1S1 my hubby knows he's in for the long haul.  Can't start without finishing.

My fave relationships Maury/Babette, Rory/Jess, Paris/Doyle.  I know season 7 sucked, but I loved how the Paris/Doyle relationship ended. I didn't hate Chris, but I never saw he and Lorelai together.  I don't even get me started on my love for Richard Gilmore–love that man!

I loved Chris, just didn't think he and Lorelai were meant to be. (Sidenote, I loved the s3 episode of flashbacks with a young Chris & Lorelai) I wish they could have had some sort of 'understanding' between Luke & Chris, and Chris finding a stable relationship, which Rory approved of.

Oh man, this show. Probably my favorite of all time.

I have embarrassing confessions about Gilmore Girls.
-I'm 32 right now, and all I've been thinking since my birthday last year is that I'm now the same age Lorelai was when the show began, and that seems so crazy to me! I was 20 when the show started, and even though Lorelai was a young mom, I identified more with Rory. It also made me realize I can't imagine having a 16 year old daughter at my age, or that I'm even technically old enough for that to be possible!

-I was secretly happy when I had a daughter because I hope to someday share some of the tv shows and movies that meant so much to me with her (like how I watched Love Story and The Paper Chase with my mom). She probably won't care and may roll her eyes at me, but I'm already counting down to when I can share Gilmore Girls with her and she's only 4. embarrassed

-When it was still repeating on tv after it went off the air, I recorded it and watched it again every day, even though I own all 7 seasons on DVD. In related news, I just bought several episodes on iTunes so I have them always available and easy to watch on my iPad, even though I could easily just watch the DVDs.

Speaking of, I think I need to go watch some GG now, even though my DVR is backed up with new episodes of current shows I haven't even watched yet. Gilmore Girls is like my comfort food tv show.

You people are my people.

Back when it was on TV, i was like 13? I never got in to it but one particulary painful christmas away with the family, a portable dvd player and season 1+2 CHANGED MY LIFE.

My fiance bought me the box set for 21st (5 years ago) and im not even embarassed to say how much times i have watched it over and over ! dance

-I always wished Lane did more with her life. I like that she found someone who loves her and everything, but Zack just seemed so…dumb. I know she wasn't a genius or anything but she seemed intelligent and I just wanted more for her. I just thought she would at least be rocking out with the band for a few years before having babies!

-OT; did anyone watch Bunheads? I did, liked the first half but it was weird to watch because it felt so much like Gilmore Girls but not at the same time. I didn't enjoy the second half because they started focusing on the teenage girls then and I am not so interested in that storyline.

My favorite pairing of Lane's was with Dave (had to look that up; Adram Brody will always be Seth to me). Zach kind of ruined Lane for me.

I did watch Bunheads – it never had the same charm that Gilmore Girls did, and I thought Michelle's love life was super boring. I did like her interactions with Emily (um, Fanny) and the girls. I actually did like the teenage girls, especially once they made Sasha not a completely terrible person. The ending with Ginny talking about losing her virginity to Michelle seemed very GG-y.

Also, I named my cat Jess after Jess Mariano. Not Postman Pat like most people assume…

Safe to say that we don't really do "appropriate" on GOMI.

It always bothered me that Jess was Rory's only boyfriend that she DIDN'T have sex with. Which does not make sense to me (see above gif).
