I love it. Wasn't a Hayden fan at all before but her character really grew on me. I especially like reading the Fug Girls recaps each week. I think Scarlett's voice is super annoying. I realize she is an Australian trying to do Southern but she sounds so whiny and babyish. I do love her duets with Gunnar so it's just something about the way she talks.

I loooove this show!  I agree, I was skeptical when I saw that Hayden Pana-whatever was in it, but I really think she's done a better job than Tami Taylor (Connie Britton).  I really like her story line, though I do hope they bring the football player she married back around at some point. I felt like they left that story line open to maybe revisit at some point?  I have a feeling they're priming her to have a love connection with her mom's therapist/counselor, but I could be wrong?

Honestly have been been disappointed with the character of Rayna.  I'm tired of the whole Rayna/Deacon drama and am ready for them to make a resolution for it, though I realize that won't happen for a while considering they have a child together (that Deacon doesn't seem to know about) and there's so much sexual tension between them.

Whoa, does he not know? I don't know why I assumed that he does.

I started watching this show because I love Connie Britton. It took me awhile to get into it, but the last few episodes have reeled me in. I like all of the actors except for Rayna's husband. His character's so flat, like a dud.

It will probably be revealed right before/after they get together.  rolleyes  Rayna's face when he's gives the line "No worries, she's just like family!" with Maddie at the hospital made me chuckle.

I like the rocker guy, Liam, and Rayna's chemistry and wouldn't mind if they dated for a bit.   He earned my affection when they were talking about how divorce is hard for the kids, blah blah, and he countered that having parents that stay in a horrible marriage is bad too.  It's not an attitude I typically see on tv.  But maybe I'm watching the wrong shows! wink

Love the Fug Girls!  Their hilarious recaps are what sucked me into the show.

I really want to watch this show, but it's not something my husband would sit through, and I just know it'll be a dvd thing for me where I sit and watch 5 hours at a time. I love Tammy Taylor, so when I saw the ads for it, I was pretty excited.

I think Nashville is an ok show that has the potential to be great. I love the premise but there's something about its soap opera quality that doesn't quite work. If the show were more character driven and less concerned with plot twists and drama it would be way better.

Relatedly, the actor who plays Rayna Jaymes' father acts like he's a villain on The Bold and The Beautiful! Watching him act in scenes with the great Connie Britton, whose acting style is so natural, gives me a headache.

I agree with this for sure. That's why it took me so long to get into the show, and the scenes with the Rayna's dad and her husband still make me cringe because they're so soapy and dissonant with Connie Britton's acting. I also hate that stupid overdramatic music riff at the end of certain scenes, just to add some additional drama. It's like yeah I get that something significant just happened, but thanks for spelling it out for me. And I thought Hayden Panettiere was really over-acting in the first few episodes, but that's gotten a little better over time. But I still like the show and am hoping that some of the hokier stylistic stuff fades away over time.

I cannot stand Scarlett. The way she talks is like nails on a chalkboard. I actually fast forward when she is on. (unless she's singing, I can stomach that)

With that said I do like the show and thinks some of the acting is way over the top.

I'm kind of obsessed with Deacon's character. I think that's just because he's kind of my type in real life. There's just something adorable about him to me.

I love this show. I'm really hoping that they don't make Rayna's daughters too much of a storyline, though… or make them singers/celebrities/whatever they were hinting at during the last episode. That's the only time it's ho-hum for me.

Can't stand Avery Barker.

Wish Rayna James was my mom.

Scarlett's hair looks like ramen.

I think he's ridiculously hot. Him singing "Love like Mine"…swoon.

And, I agree that Scarlett's voice is AWFUL. Which is weird, because her The Civil Wars cover from the pilot was amazing. I think I just dislike her, in general, because she lets the men in her life walk all over her and treat her like crap. It's so frustrating

I have such a girl crush on Connie Britton. She can do no wrong.

How have there been no updates in here?  Stuff is going down!  Rayna's dad!  Scarlett and Gunnar!  Luke from the OC (welcome to Nashville, b***h!)!  Juliet sleeping with her mother's sober companion and then her mom trying to make a move on him!

That guy is totally not trustworthy, btw.  I feel like he's gonna lose all of Juliet's money in a ponzi scheme or something.

And what do we think of Deacon's new girlfriend?  She is sooooo boring to mesnore
