I don't know, I kind of like Juliette when she's given something real to do – I love when they put her with Rayna and she has someone to spar with a bit.

I agree that Teddy needs to be cut.

And I'd love to see more of Rayna's daughters. They are adorable.

I hate the way Scarlet speaks – but I try to ignore it because she's Australian, and I imagine it's mostly a product of trying to cover up her accent. If you can suspend your disbelief on that one, I swear she becomes so much more enjoyable. I wish she'd stop behaving like such a pushover, though, with all these men. Just do what's good for you Scarlet! Why's it always gotta be about a man!?

I thought that last night's episode was actually really good! The whole sex tape storyline should be interesting…anyone else think that Juliette is going to kill Dante because he's blackmailing her? Or is that too soap opera-y?

I've heard there are two deaths in the season finale — I'm actually thinking Jolene will kill Dante.

I can't believe they're already going to kill someone off! Wouldn't mind if it were Teddy or Rayna's dad, but I doubt we'll be so lucky.

I loved seeing Rayna and Deacon get together, but it seems so early in the series to reach that "climax" so to speak.

they still have to play out the drama of him being the girl's dad, so i'm sure that will become a wedge between them next season.

They are so rushing all of these story lines – it looks like Deacon will already be finding out that Maddie is his daughter? I wonder if they thought the show wouldn't be renewed for another season and just wanted to cram it all in there. I don't get it.

I thought it was well played with Juliette's mother killing Dante and then herself. I didn't see that coming when I was guessing who might die. So sad, but it should be interesting to see how Juliette's character grows from the experience – with her mother literally sacrificing herself for Juliette, right after Juliette tells Avery she doesn't believe in love (ETA – not that it wasn't misguided, IRL I'd be pissed at my mom for killing herself as part of an effort to save my image).

I was sad to see Scarlett and Gunnar break up, but I do like Avery's redemption story. He was so arrogant and detestable early on, and now he's so humbled and earnest. I didn't think I could like his character, but he's hard not to like now. The whisk moment was really sweet.

I guess we're stuck with Teddy and Rayna's dad. They're still the weakest links.

I agree with pretty much everything you've said!  I really think they thought it wouldn't be renewed, hence all the crazy ~drama~.  So now I'm really interested in what will happen next season since it seems like they've kind of blown their wad already!

My heart broke when Juliette cried out for her mama.  cry

The whole Teddy/Rayna's dad/Rayna's sister storyline is SOOOOO BORING.  I just always check twitter when those scenes are on.

Wow! That finale was cray cray!

The proposal! The car crash! Pegs is pregs!

I agree that it'll be interesting to see where else they can take the next season since there was so much drama. Hopefully they'll bring in some new characters who will bring in more fun…the boring business storyline with rayna's family….snoooooooze!

I'd also like to see the football player again. He was cute!

I hope they make the gay cowboy a series regular.  I'm curious to see what happens with him!  Who was the mystery man he gave that stern look to?  A former lover, perhaps?!

I am NHF an Avery redemption storyline.  No thanks.

Hayden nailed it last night.  She was so good in all of her scenes!  Does anyone else want Rayna to become like her surrogate mom?  I know the whole point of the show is that they're ~enemies~ but I would love to see them get along.  I think they could learn a lot from each other.

Deacon went off the rails!  It was like he was saving up his craziness for the entire season and let it loose in that one episode.

I loved that they finally showed Deacon's dark side. I was kind of shocked though that he never suspected that she might be his daughter.

^^ I was wondering about that, and the show explained it by saying that he didn't even remember sleeping with Rayna 13 years ago because he was so deep in his addiction. What, I didn't understand was whether Rayna had cheated on Teddy or if it had happened before they were in a serious relationship?

Also, does anyone think that Deacon is going to paralyze his hand (or something similar) so that he won't be able to play the guitar? It would further his whole spiraling back into addiction thing if he lost his love and his passion.

I finally watched the last two episodes. Do you think Jolene said what she did to get Dante to come over (and then once he was there saying she had always loved him, etc) or did she actually mean it? I was hoping it was just to make the whole drug fueled murder suicide more believable but I think that might be giving her too much credit. I know she did it for Juliette, just wondering if she threw her own feelings/motive in too

I can't get on board with Avery now being a good guy. I've never liked him.
