It came out yesterday on Netflix. So far it's scary as hell!!! Aliens are far more scary than ghosts IMO.

Anyone else watching??

I'm babysitting my nephew this weekend. Babysitting my nephew is one of my favorite things ever. But this week it's a real pain in my ass because I want to watch Stranger Things! I got through 2 episodes last night and loved it. Is it nap time/bed time yet?

I'm finishing up episode 2 right now. This show is definitely awesome. The music is f**king mind blowing!!!

I hope nap time comes fast. I suggest some fruit snacks (we call them shut the f**k up snacks lol) and some Spongebob!

Loving it. It's very early Spielberg, feels like what Super 8 that movie was trying to be. Really suspenseful and heart-warming too, although I could do with a little less constant hysteria from Winona- her scenes are poorly written. I love how tense and frightening it gets but I'm always thankful when the comedic relief happens- those child actors are really great and adorable.

I'm halfway through the series and I loooove it. I second that the soundtrack is amazing. It was hard to stop myself from burning through the whole series but I'm probably going to do that tomorrow. In other news this website is slowing my computer down like crazy and I'll be surprised if this posts.

I get an Amazing Stories vibe from it. I am not a fan of Winona either but the rest of it is great, so far.

Alright. FINALLY finished after a long weekend of forced engagement with my nephew and family. My nephew and I stayed the night at my parents house last night and after he went to bed I was dying to watch more episodes but my parents insisted on BBC/PBS crap and I wanted to die.

I loved every. Single. Second. Of this show (minus Winina Ryder, especially when she's walking. Holy robot). The kids were amazing. I rewound Dustins (or "Duhstuns") scenes multiple times. The music deserves awards. The whole ambiance of the show reminded me of my favorite movies growing up, and who's kidding, still now: Goonies, IT, ET, Stand by Me. It was the perfect mix of a damn good show and the nostalgia I've been missing from current TV programming.

Is there going to be more? They certainly left it open for more seasons. Part of me wants that and the other part of me wants it to end as it did. Because it was perfect.

The 80s setting is awesome. I don't mind Winona. I agree that the child actors are amazing. I'm not usually a fan of scifi but am loving it!

also putting my hand up for binge watching the whole thing in the last 48 hours- OMG, so good. Goonies, crossed with Twin Peaks crossed with Aliens. Love it.

And Winona was great, yes she always has been a bit of a melodramatic actress but as she's the same age as me its interesting to see how she's aged, and how good she was in the role of the mother when its far removed from her own life experiences.

I'm halfway through and I LOVE it. It's campy, 80s weirdness and I think Winona is great fun in the role.

I was thinking X Files too. I'm only 3 episodes in, but plan on watching a couple more episodes tonight. Mr Parker has never binged watched anything. He's like I can see how easy it is for you and the kids binge. He's hooked too.
