Anyone watch last nights episode? Noah and Allison's stories were vastly different this time…I think he's lying. Maybe using his book to blur the lines, create an alibi?? Who do you think was killed? I'm thinking Cole but that seems so obvious!

Um, yea I'm obsessed with this show.

Her version was much more believable than his to me too, but I wondered to what degree that might be because I'm a woman, ie: to what degree might men find his story more genuine. The show is really interesting from that perspective.

I still find the subject matter difficult, but am totally sucked in. It is so well done.

Just started this on Showtime On Demand; so far, so good.  I'm about 4 episodes in and I appreciate that while the perspective still flips from Noah to Alison, at least the story is moving along sequentially throughout the hour.  After the first two episodes, I was kind of over seeing the Rashomon effect.

Looks like there are 15 episodes in the series; somehow I feel like the murder victim will be someone who is only peripheral in the story line so far… probably not Cole or any of his brothers, nor the father-in-law…

I'm disappointed that the episodes will fall off the On Demand menu on 1/13 because I am in a rush to see them all now.  It's a good show and I feel like it will be a worthwhile watch, but it's not something I'm inclined to binge on like Homeland.

Anyone watch the premiere? I just noticed episode 2 is also OnDemand so I'm off to go watch. I'm intrigued already.

I watched the premier!  I decided to keep up on a weekly basis for this season.  (I binge watched it last time).

Noah's and Helen's versions of the mediation were so drastically different… I don't have kids and I've never been divorced so I can't relate.  It seems feasible, though, that they would have such divergent perceptions.

I thought that the mediator was hilarious.  That guy must have had a good time playing the role twice.

The mediator was great!  I loved him in Noah's version, but not in Helen's…but hers is the one I want to be true!!

I watched both episodes too! The mediator was hilarious. Helen was giving the best dead stares and side-eyes throughout the whole episode. I don't find the attraction to Noah. Even in season one. He just comes off as a bitter man who has a major chip on his shoulder because he didn't get to do the things he wanted. Which is no one's fault but his own. If he had such issues with taking money from Helen and her parents, he should have done something about it. Even though the grandmother isn't the greatest, I was happy when she gave it right back to him when he asked how she lives with herself "How the f**k do you?!"

The character is a selfish baby but I like the actor and think he's attractive.

It could just be that I am so fat, so dumb, but i was a bit lost.

Was the mediator, and moving his stuff just all a dream? Because wasn't he actually in jail from being arrested at the end of last season?

So, how was he in jail, but also at the mediator etc? and how did Helen have the same "experience" if it was all his dream?

Help me hamcats, did I miss something????

So in the finale last season, they jumped ahead at the end and showed the scene where Alison had short hair and they had a babu and looked to be living in an apartment in the city. But we never knew how they got to that point. So this episode kind of filled in that gap and took us back to what happened after the summer was over. Alison's hair wasn't short yet and Helen didn't have bangs. So then the ending took us back to the jail situation, where they left off at the end of the finale.

god the mediator was great. and the perspectives were vastly different! i love how in noah's version the mediator was wearing a ring, and in helen's he wasn't. i love that we're seeing helen's perspective this season, last season she was always shown to be a cold, snobby b***h by alison and noah, and now we get to see what she's really like. this show is really, really good.

I heard Maura Tierney on Sandra Bernhard's radio show recently, last week I think, and she talked a lot about the wardrobe choices in the show.  I had noticed how Alison's clothes always looked just shy of a sexy Halloween costume in Noah's memory… but I hadn't noticed that Helen always looks super put together and stylish from Alison's perspective, but very plain and "mom-like" in her own mind.  Maybe because so much of the first season was focused on the Noah/Alison dichotomy?

There's just so much to pay attention to in this show.  I really enjoy watching it, even though I don't especially care for any of the characters.  Helen is okay, I suppose, but I don't like Noah or Alison at all.  It's not just the infidelity, it's the character flaws that contribute to their behavior.

I agree – I don't actually care for any of the characters but find them fascinating to watch. I'm going to be cruel for a second and just say that I find Ruth Wilson's mouth to be terribly distracting.

Episode 2 is from Alison and Cole's perspective, so it's nice to see things through his eyes finally. I actually find him most intriguing.

The girls on Entertainment Weekly radio are obsessed with this show and talk about going to the set and whatnot. They said the writers are just so incredibly smart and put so much thought into all of the detail of what appears differently in scenes that are duplicated.

I was surprised Helen started dating their friend. Seems way too douchey for her. I know she's not terribly into him but she doesn't seem like the type to waste her time on something she's not into. Maybe it was just to piss off Noah?

The actor is definitely good looking but him as Noah. Gah!
