Randall is probably my favorite! I will definitely be watching this for sure.

Although, unpopular opinion time: Milo (and Mandy) both grate on me, so I hope we don't see too much of them. I am forever going to see Milo as smug ass Jess from Gilmore Girls, so meh.

I got spoiled on the "twist" from Twitter, since I DVR'd the show.  Well, at least the part about Milo/Mandy being the twins parents.  I didn't realize until about halfway through that they would adopt the third kid.  But it all worked, and after seeing a promo for this show 100 times during the Olympics and wondering, "Where the hell does this go?" I'm more excited than ever because I love family-based dramas!  "Parenthood," "Brothers and Sisters," all the way back to "Sisters" on NBC.

I wonder if we'll continue to get flashbacks to the parents' storyline.  I'm meh on Milo but have the hugest girl crush on Mandy Moore so I hope we get to see more of her.

I have always been luke warm in terms of Milo but throw a beard on that guy and I am hooked! I liked the twist even though I knew about it before watching. I felt the food in the fridge scene was a bit over kill with the post its. I don't know. Maybe it is because the notes seemed so mean and also "fat people storylines" annoy me since I have always had weight struggles.

I loved this show! I randomly stumbled on it on Hulu. So touching and heartwarming. I cried my eyes out. The actress that plays Kate was soooo amazing! And the scenes between she and her brother–omg!! They have such amazing chemistry! And Milo!!!!? Yasss. So hot. I'm curious to see where this goes. It felt like it was all wrapped up in the one episode–almost like a short film.

Am I the only one who was bothered by them turning 36 and Kevin saying he was in second grade when the Challenger exploded? Because I'm 37 and was in first grade when that happened. It pissed me off! How hard is it to get that right?

Yes! And I'm also bothered by the fact that they're showing the parents having them in the 70s. I just turned 35 and I was born in '81. So yeah, no. I mean, did people still smoke in hospitals in the early 80s?

Still love the show so far!

YES I was going to comment on me. I said to me husband are they saying they're turning 36 in 2016 cause there is no way they were in second grade for the Challenger. Cause today is my birthday no need to say happy birthday, anywho I was in second grade when it happened, and my sister and I were the youngest kids in our class. We just made the Oct. cutoff and we live in Ohio I'm not 100% about it but think Pittsburgh would have the same cutoff. Sorry I get lost, anyway we turned 38 today. So that bugged me.

There's been a lot of back and forth about the challenger/being 36 in various forums I've read. Maybe this episode is set in 2014-15 and just behind a couple years, or maybe we will get a flash forward.
I just love this show. I watched it twice already. I love a good twist! Came for team Jess, staying for everyone.

My sister says we were in the 3rd grade I say she's so wrong! So perhaps Kevin is like my sister, he has no idea the grade he was in lol. I do love the show though. I cried so hard at Gerald McRaney's speech. And then at the plot twist. I hope the show stays this good. I worry though. I do wonder if maybe as the show goes on they will have older actors to play present parents. But since it seems to flash around they'll mostly focus on the parents younger. I really don't want them both to be gone

This show was great. I wasn't intrigued by the trailer but Twitter went nuts about the twist (without revealing it) so I decided to give it a try. I got chills when the twist was revealed and it takes a lot to surprise me.

I also thought that the parents might not be alive in the current day.

My favorite characters were Kate and Randall.

I actually liked the guy Kate started seeing even though he did want to move things quickly. As someone who is a similar age as these characters who is usually single and insecure in relationships, I thought that it made sense how it played out. It seems like both Kate and the guy haven't been in a relationship for a while, and that made Kate tentative and the guy a bit more forward. I don't think he wants to hurt her, I just think he feels a connection and is a bit desperate.

Also liked Randall and found his story to be the most intriguing.

You hams got me excited to watch this to find out "the twist", so I had serious high hopes for this. Not going to lie, the show was so predictable and I thought it was way toooo sappy.

Maybe I'm heartless, but the whole story was just so unrealistic, I don't buy that a working class white couple from Pittsburgh in the 70's willingly adopting a black baby. Doesn't fit. Sorry Pittsburgh hams.

Also the obese sister has some serious issues, which makes me doubt that their childhood was honky dory.

Similar to Parenthood, this show just made me constantly roll my eyes and think "white people" (full disclosure: I am white)

Ok, going to go hide under my chair now.

I'm guessing the story of their upbringing is going to be rocky. The Manny (Kevin?) seemed to go to a pretty dark place during that scene with Alan Thicke, which, when watching it the second time around, obviously had something to do with Randall.
