I recently started following her. I like to see success stories, so I am really rooting for her. But she is starting to annoy me half the time. Her pictures are all super close ups of her face. And her week long smoothie fast really pissed me off. That can't be healthy. And I got so tired of seeing her green mustache pictures. I don't like seeing food on people's faces.

I'll wk for the second-hand clothing. I see that a lot on weight loss forums.

But laptops are typically not essential. If one is required for work, then work should provide. Jay Robb egg white protein powder, organic produce, Polar watches, and Quest bars are not essential.

I completely understand that jobs may be scarce, salaries may be low, and that unexpected financial crisises to pop up. Repeated tales of not beimg able to make rent, put gas in the car, or pay for groceries make me side eye a person's choices rather than be sympathetic to their circumstances.

And now I just read the rest of this thread. All that grifting sucks. I hope she isn't letting internet fame go to her head.

Stasia chose to move to Yuma to be closer to family. I understand that's important to her but if her current job is unstable in terms of income (you mentioned she's on commission) then she needs to be budgeting extra carefully and saving more than what someone who makes a constant salary would. If she was 19 I'd roll my eyes and move on, but she's 29 AND holding herself out as a guru who you can win a Skype session with.

She's far too old for this. If her income isn't consistent and she has months where she cannot pay the rent, buy groceries or even a tank of gas then she needs to look at what she's spending her money on and see where she can cut back. Quest bars are not a necessity. Avocados are not a necessity. Rent and basic grocery money should be taking priority over those. 3 trips in 3 months to see your niece and nephew are not a priority, no matter how important family is to her. If I was 29 and routinely unable to buy groceries, gas or pay my rent and I dared to try to claim that my monthly trips to visit family were a higher priority than those, my family would refuse to allow me to stay with them to stop these trips being such a drain on my budget. She has a gym and a pool at her apartment complex, yet is paying for a gym membership. I don't care if it's Planet Fitness, that $20/month could be helping with food and gas instead.

The two incidents below make it obvious that second she gets money she spends it. Not to mention the car she's driving is a ticking timebomb, but if you can just hit up people on IG to pay for your bad decisions then why would you ever be concerned about budgeting, savings accounts, clipping coupons, etc.

1/19/15 After paying for car repairs she can't afford gas yet 20 days later she's taking a trip to San Diego. Yet back in December she was begging for grocery money on IG.

4/20/15 Spends the last of her money on Quest bars and Protein powder from GNC, yet 24 days later she doesn't have money for half a tank of gas and has to hit up a friend for cash.

This is the response on her IG to people criticizing this as opposed to selling an e-book or diet plans:

stasia2point0 10 minutes ago @L I did it because my followers are offering to help. If you don't want to you don't need to. There is nothing wrong with asking for help when it is genuinely needed. They have been asking me to set up a go fund me account. My computer crashed and they want me to start a YouTube account. I feel like that other stuff is More shady than asking for help one time
But this isn't a one time thing Stasia, or did you forget about asking for grocery money and gifts several times in the past 7 months?

Maybe I'm just a suspicious person but couldn't one run the battery down on their laptop and claim it was no longer powering on due to something else?

Seeing it all laid out on a timelone is disturbing. The whole "trips to San Diego" make me question her. Hoices too. Why doesnt her sister ever come visit her? If shes so poor and alone, you would think her sister would make an effort to visit her instead.

Also…so she "works full time" booking reaervations. She doesnt have kids or a husband. It doesnt look like ahe has a busy social life or demanding charity/volunteer work to tend to. She could just go get a better job or a second job, even if its cashier at Staples.

Maybe I'm a cynical b***h, but I just get a shady vibe from her. That or she's terrible at making money choices. She obviously needs to get her shit together.

I'll admit I've never had serious money problems, but asking on IG for money and stuff to me, is not ok.

Let's be real, barely losing 100 lbs is a lot easier when you still have 200 lb more to lose. It doesn't make her guru or worthy of signing a book for someone (that she didn't write).

I'd like some stuff too! I'd like to take a big vacation in September but I'll need some extra cash for my groceries and utilities that month. And I was planning on buying a FitBit this week, it would be so great if someone would just go buy one for me instead. I'll send you Internet Hugs!

Help a ham out, it makes me uncomfortable to actually earn my own money.

nonamesplease what I'm not getting is that for the past 7 months she seems to have had constant money and car troubles, yet she took 3 trips to San Diego in 3 months, bought a new FitBit and spent the last of her money one week on Quest Bars. I don't think she should be living on ramen and using the sun as her reading lamp, but you also don't need to be having a week of avocado and kale smoothies if you can't consistently come up with gas money. Especially when you work from home and your driving appears to be limited to the gym and grocery store. Perhaps she needs to start selling off all the gifts she's getting? She could use her FB and IG to sell off any gifts she doesn't want but that might impact the level of future gifts.

Maybe I was just raised differently but if I couldn't afford groceries I'd be looking for a second job/better job, putting stuff on CL/eBay or pawning stuff, not posting sadfaced pics on IG asking for money. And I definitely wouldn't be taking 3 vacations starting less than 2 months after I was begging for groceries on IG.

Right now I'm not sure if she's so dysfunctional that she can't grasp the concept of a budget (like JessAnna) or she's using IG to grift off suckers.

I guess my point was that if she's really that hard up, there is likely a program available to assist her while she gets back on her feet (and it does sound like she's had quite a few struggles to deal with, not going to comment on how many of them are of her own making vs. just bad luck/life situation).  If, however, her money woes are largely due to crappy priorities (e.g. quest bars and avocados) rather than an actual shortage of cash inflow, then she needs to get her act together and stop grifting on IG.  I 100% agree with you—if you are having money problems begging on the internet is NOT the answer.  I've definitely struggled with a tight budget before and I managed to get through it without begging for help OR succumbing to a diet of ramen or other cheap/unhealthy calories.

Exactly this.  Her weightloss is great.  Everything else is cause of some major side-eye.

Her employer does provide a desktop computer for work related use. But she needs a new laptop so she can make YouTube videos for her fanz sfun_nopity
