What is special about this baby that she should be on a talk show? Lots of babies are fat and adorable.

Frozen Tomato on the Counter meowed

lo-fi meowed

I think posting naked pictures of your kids on the Internet (especially on the "public" Internet) is idiotic for a lot of reasons, but I've never understood the "this is going to be really embarrassing for the kid later on" argument.  I was never embarrassed about baby pics, even naked ones, as an adolescent, and I don't know any friends who were either.  In fact, when social media started becoming a thing as I hit high school, people often used "embarrassing" baby pictures of themselves as their profile pics, or posted albums of them…there were naked baby pics, pics of toddlers and preschoolers covered in food, making weird faces, dressed in ridiculous costumes, doing horrible things to siblings and pets, having horrible things done to them by siblings or pets, you name it.  Are most adolescents really that mortified by old pictures of themselves?  That's just never been my experience…if anything, it was the opposite, people loved having pictures that proved how "weird" and "unique" they were from the very beginning, or pictures they could post as compliment-bait by captioning it "oh my god wasn't I so embarrassing" when they knew damn well it was adorable.

Sure naked baby pictures aren't embarrassing for some people, but like posters above have said, there's a huge difference between a snapshot being shared with a couple of people and having your picture shared all over social media. The baby has her own hashtag and the mom is spreading her name all over. Imagine walking into a job interview and having your future boss know that your mom pimped you out for a chance to be on Ellen. idontknow

I think it could have adverse affects on her, as many people are commenting/sharing purely for her size, and speculating on health. It's not just an 'embarrasing' baby picture any more. I think she's cute as hell, but this has gone beyond.

What a horrible mother. She's trying to sell her baby for diapers, wipes, body wash, and last but not least, so she can try to make it as a photographer. It makes me sick the lengths she's willing to go to to exploit her daughter. She has no artistic talent. How is it even possible to give a baby in a diaper camel toe? I don't know, but she did it. https://www.instagram.com/p/9AOhadzX9U/?taken-by=tiffanyraina And why does she keep tagging everything #candidchildhood when all the pictures are clearly staged. That word doesn't mean what you think it means.

You can't quote me because of the apostrophe in my username.

Just came here to say this is super weird, and I would kill my mom if she ever did this to me and I found out about it later.  Is everyone in this lady's family just okay with it?  Also, +1 to whoever mentioned that most of  the comments on her pics are foreign … buy fake followers much?

In the daddy + baby bathroom pic, all I can see is that hideous wallpaper border.

The foreign followers issue came up when another mom blogger (whose name I forget) had nude photos up…after she took the pics down, some guy showed up here ranting about how we had ruined things with our commentary, and that the photos were all about "innocence".

His user name here, which was quite unusual, linked to a South American man's twitter account.

Don't think he was a purchased follower, simply a collector of these particular types of photographs.

Does this not bother these mothers at all?  I find the thought of my kids' images being used this way pretty horrifying.

Holy crap!

That is why I think there is really something wrong with all these "mama bears".

Grown men are following and commenting on my child's nude photo.
What do I do?

A- Remove all the photos

B- Post more nudes of said child. And call any concerns about the situation being bullied by haters.

And it seems like they always choose B!!!angry

smiley-signs064Ick. That's really awful.

While traveling internationally (US hamcat), I was behind an Asian tour group in a customs line. The girl in front of me was on IG scrolling through photos of children. Liking and screen shooting any that caught her eye. It seemed purely innocent but it really hit home that you have no idea what people are doing with your photos.

She's a cute baby but nothing special.

I've already seen the pic with the baby next to the bathtub on one of those funny IG accounts saying something about loving pizza.  The meme was actually credited to someone else.  Hope she's happy about what's happening…

Let me tell you a little bedtime story:

I had a therapy client last year who was a pederast. As in, according to him, he looked but had never touched. He was good about attending therapy and I was glad that he recognized it as a problem and was at least taking steps to curtail it (and was in a position to be somewhat monitored). As he didn't have children and worked as a machinist (and never mentioned any sort of specific situation where he had been inappropriate with a child, though he did discuss his fantasies), my hands were tied as far as reporting him – there has to be a credible and specific threat to children if one is to break confidentiality.

ANYWAYS, he told me he collected "innocent nudes" of children from the internet. He said IG was his favorite "catalog." Yes, that's right – he referred to it as a "catalog." And he's not the only one. He said he "knew the legal limits," so he just stockpiled hundreds upon hundreds of readily and publicly available images of very young children, naked or in a state of "seductive" (HIS WORDS) undress. He talked about sharing them with a friend, like baseball cards. I ended up recommending he see a therapist with more experience than I have after about 6 weeks, as I didn't feel professionally prepared to deal with it (I'm still an intern, and though I worked closely with a supervisor on this, it's her license on the line so I thought she should take the lead).

So, to all those internet mommies who are like "IT'S JUST A NAKED CHILD WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU PERVERTS. SHE'S MY BABY AND I OWN HER," trust me. There is some skeevy ass guy in Bakersfield that appreciates your free spirit.

^^^yep, why do these instafamew***e moms not understand this shit happens all. The. Time? I don't need a therapist to tell me a real life story that it happens, it's not hard to figure out for myself! There's another IG mommy who was getting so angry that some weirdo was stealing her daughters pics and making it seem as if it was her own Kid. Instead of making her page private for friends and family only, she just reported the person and left nasty comments on her page. Wtf? Protect your kids not your instafsmew***e status!!
