I read it in that southern "Bless your heart" kind of way, as in "You are [such an idiot].  You made me laugh [at your stupidity]!"

I'm probably giving the commenter too much credit though!

That's what I thought too–"Bless your heart" with a side of "aren't you precious" and a virtual headpat.

Sweet is Kerftoe's measure of greatness when it comes to food.

5)  Spicy Cashew Trout at CommonwealthI hope this is still on the menu, because it was one of the best entrees I’ve ever had. The cashews on top were sweet, candy spiced, the trout perfectly seared, but the show-stopper is their coconut rice – so sweet and rich!

All this, from a woman who bragged about cheating on her gestational diabetes test….

Also, gross. Why on earth is all her "real food" so frakking sweet? All that sugar cannot be healthy!

In that article she actually plugged her pregnancy and her wasted RD license. Kath, stop calling yourself an RD. You are only an RD if you work as an RD. Right now, you're a housewife who half asses being a bakery co-owner and blogger.

Organic Valley sent me a sample of their new omega-3 milk. It’s got fish oil in it for an extra dose of those important omega-3s. Yay sardines and anchovies! I know that sounds gross, but there was not the slightest detection of fish in it (and I have a very sensitive palate!) I love that it’s real food.

Up is down, black is white, a fussy sweet-tooth is a "foodie" and milk with additives is "real food."

She is such a dumbass. How can anyone take her blog or any advice about "real food" seriously when she considers that "real food"? She seems to confuse "organic" for "real".

eyeroll at her "sensitive palate".

Also, WTF about her saying she does not like sweet when she was talking about her martini. Right, Kath, you do not like sweet things. You who drizzles honey all over your "salads" and even looking at your oatmeal "breakfasts" causes my teeth to hurt and give me a sugar rush.

I tend not to buy raspberries from South America during the winter, but now that they are ripe in the USA (I consider Florida local for the purposes for delicious fruit), I bought a pint the other day.

Bison!? It’s like Buffalo – may be the same, I’m not sure

Oh my god, she is so dumb.

(And as an aside, bison = delicious.)

I decided to be uber-adventerous and order a different drink. I decided on a Hibiscus, White Tequila and Lime margarita.

It tasted good, but it was pretty sweet and it just didn’t taste well with our food. Once I’d sipped it down 1/3 I asked our server if I could have a glass of club soda to water it down with to try to dilute the sweet. I just don’t like sweet!

When she realized I wasn’t 100% happy, she offered to get me a new drink to replace it. I felt bad, but I agreed and she was SUPER nice. Thanks, Mono Loco, for the excellent customer service!!

Can you guess which drink I returned to? Spice-a-rita. Not too sweet and perfectly mixed. I’m never not ordering this again!

She served Matt a beer and served me a super sweet Manhattan, which is right up my alley!

Sweet is ok for Manhattans, just not for margaritas. Got it?

Does this b***h eat protein? Ever? Aside from the "Whole Dogs"? I've had pancakes like 3 times this year. I will give this chick $100 to eat a piece of bacon before noon and isn't pretentiously perched on some uptight, onion-free, dressing on the side, over priced salad at some downtown eatery she has a groupon for.

The "Carrot Lovers" might have a little protein in them, too.

What I don't get it is if you are genuinely interested in food and can't identify an ingredient, why not Google it? Or better yet ask the server at the restaurant what kind of leaf the "lily pad" is.  Is it because she is afraid of appearing ignorant? Or is it because she doesn't actually care?

Exactly what I have been wondering. It seems like she honestly couldn't care less and that she is lazy as all hell. If she was afraid of appearing ignorant she wouldn't randomly name things "lily pads" just because that is what they remind her of, or say things like " 'sea beans' (whatever those are)". If she wanted to seem well educated in this stuff and come off as a credible source, she'd bother to ask or look this stuff up, as well as learn something in the process. But she is just a smug asshole who thinks she can get by without doing any work. And judging by the fact that people sadly read her bullshit blog, she may be right…!

Did anyone else see this tweet from @PreschoolGems?  I immidiately thought of KERF:

Faith made…some Peruvian drink that I am sorry to say I don’t remember the name of. I SWEAR it was Tequila, but she says no. And that’s all the details I have!

That's funny, because even if I didn't suspect she meant Pisco (which her commenters told her it was) that's the first result when you Google "Peruvian mixed drink."

A few posts later:

Matt had the Lamb Kafka (local humanely raised lamb – a Brookeville requirement). He shared a bite and the fresh mint was a perfect match

Lamb… KAFKA? Oh honey… kofka. Unless you really do want to start selling that "I eat surreal foods" shirt.

I love this comment.   And I would TOTALLY wear that shirt.
