One of the life lessons she's teaching her children is that anyone is replaceable. How in the world could she be so cold. I get that she's grieving, but grief is part of recovery and she's so screwing their heads up. I honestly am at a loss for words.

My jaw is on the floor seeing those Christmas cards. Tawdry, tawdry, tawdry. Her lack of social graces is astounding! Was this woman raised by wolves?

No but she married one.

Looks like wolfboy has captured the fox family. uh

Does FF have amnesia? Wasn't Martin here for half a year in "twenty sixteen" and doesn't he deserve to be part of the Christmas cards or at least his family's story? I agree with the other comments that the pictures should have been only the kids. Maybe have some self awareness FF. Major side eyes on all of this. You've been newlyweds for more than 2 months and NOW you need to order cards to "share the news" you kept so tightly wrapped up. drool

Maybe it's just me but FF and Richard's poses seem awkward and forced. Not seeing the "love" there. Here's Richard Carmack, my consolation prize. eek

Agree the card should have just been from the kids. When my ex and divorced that's what I did – pics of only the kids and signed "The Smiths". Then the next year it was a card with me and the kids and my ex's family wasn't on the list anymore. (Sent pics to ex-MIL but no cards.)

The card with the kids was Carmak+Meyers clan… If she has another baby think she'll change all the kids name so they are a cohesive family name or some nonsense?

I just… wow. After finding this forum, I became curious and ended up looking through Emily's IG. Seeing the journey from her late husband's diagnosis to that last picture of him in the hospital bed… it's heartbreaking on the most visceral level. Metastatic malignant melanoma is a b***h. From what I understand, there is no real treatment. Even with the recent progresses in immunotherapy treatment, for most cases, death is imminent within 1-2 years, if not months.

Not to sfun_deadhorse but the whole situation with FF baffles me. On one hand, I *sort of* understand how she could've been mentally preparing for this death during his whole course of treatment. Again, from what I understand, his treatment was really just buying time. She may have already come to terms with the likelihood that he wasn't going to make it. And, like others have said, that allowed her to move on more quickly than we'd typically expect.

On the other hand, a very close friend's husband has a rare, metastatic form of cancer for which there is no real treatment as well. He's had it the entire time they've been together, and he's been fortunate to have a good quality of life with relatively slow disease progression. But lately his mets have been growing more rapidly, and it slays me to see her go through this with him. I don't even want to think about what it'd be like if he were to pass… but there'd definitely be no new marriage in 3 months. Absolutely not.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents. I don't even know what to think about the holiday card. Maybe this is her atypical, dysfunctional way of grieving.

Via her Instagram, it's been twenty-two weeks since Martin died. TWENTY-TWO f**kING WEEKS. And she's been remarried for almost ten of them.

Like you all, I was absolutely gutted when Martin died. She wrote beautifully through it, and I think that's why so many of us felt his loss as though it were our own. "The heartbreak I feel is far more crippling than I ever imagined." – this is what she wrote on her Instagram the day after he died. Twenty-two weeks later, add a new daddy/husband, and it's as though Martin never existed.

I can't tell if she's lost her goddamn mind (not in a joking way – grief can be crippling, and she's dealing with it the only way she knows how, and that's to get Mormon-married again), or she's the shittiest, most opportunistic b***h on the planet. I simply don't think there's any gray area here.
