Gardner Quad Squad/A Miracle Unfolding

Has anyone here heard about them? A woman (Ashley) suffered with infertility for 8 years and finally had the money/time to get an IVF and both eggs that they had implanted split.. leaving her with quadruplet girls! The babies are adorable, but sometimes I have to cringe at how "cutesy" she is with them, and the baby talk she uses in her FB & blog posts.

You can check 'em out here: http://gardnerquadsquad.com/

I took a quick look. Congratulations to them! In the post I looked at there was a photo of one of the newborns in an incubator split side by side with her at five months. Both have a $1 bill next to the baby to show the size/scale.

a. Get your dirty money away from your baby.
idontknowb. Talk about foreshadowing…

She better pace herself!  Or she's going to run out of exclamation points!  And cliches!

At least the money is in what looks like a Ziploc bag. I was going to majorly side-eye putting something with so many potential germs next to a premature infant. I wonder if the doctors made them do that. Why not something that could be cleaned/sterile? Money is kind of a weird measuring device.

I was getting mentally out of breath reading her posts. Not! Everything! Must! Be! Exclaimed!

OK. I have a question. So…they have a photo of themselves when they found out she was pregnant. It looks like a "professional" or at least a highly-staged photoshoot. I just can't fathom how real this could be. I mean, what kind of coldhearted person would say, "Sit right here while I photograph as you read the results of your pregnancy test. I know it could be bad news…but we should document this."

Same thing with finding they were having quads. Something about those photos seem highly staged to me, as if they were hoping they'd go "viral" (I feel like one of them did…it seems familiar) and they could cash in on the kids.

Their girls are adorable…I just feel it is all a bit too staged for me. Kind of like Jon + Kate's old "home movies" they took (and then shopped around) when the sextuplets were babies.

I am on my phone and couldn't see the Ziploc bag. Thanks for the head's up, but that just makes it dumber to me.

Agree with the "About Us" photo.

She is, I think, very sweet, very loving, very happy, but also not very educated. The difference between how she and her husband spell, punctuate and explain/word things online is really different. But, I'm mostly happy for them, and good for her for being happy 🙂

That's a whole lotta hairbows.

Her eye makeup is the worst! I have wanted A gomi thread just so it can be discussed.

I haven't side eyed much of what she's been doing until I saw she was having a meet her babies event.

I've never read her blog, but I have a friend that used to like every single FB post, so I've seen a lot of this unfold.

From the very start, something about them has triggered my scam-o-meter (or at the very least, my attention-w***e meter).

It just all seems so staged. Every thing so photographed. So staged. So planned to go viral.

And her so made up all the timeuh Even in her hospital bed a day before they took the babies, she's in full on make-up (which for her is FULL ON), hair blown out and cute clothes. WTF? My BFF was in the hospital for four weeks prior to the birth of her daughter and that scenario is not pretty and she was only pregnant with one. When you lay on your butt for four weeks straight, you get all kinds of rashes, yeasts, things that go when they shouldn't and things that don't go when they should and it just generally sucks ass. Sure, maybe that made her feel better, blah, blah but for me, it points to a level of vanity or try-hard that makes me uncomfortable with them.

I'm sure they will get a TV show with TLC. Just one moe thing on TV I will never, ever watch. drool
