Well…a bit of Googling shows they formed an LLC and registered a business name this year. 1. It could be for the 2,000 sales they had on Etsy (in what, 4ish months) or it could be for something else.

Her Etsy instagram account says she is now bringing in family members to fill orders. You're telling me…you're not actually PAYING anyone to do that work, but making the family work for free.

This is just too weird for me. Why the eff would someone start a business like that, plus all the blog, instagrams etc, when they have FOUR newborn babies to take care of?

Coming out of lurkdom for this one, just because I've had contact with the Gardners (in a non-medical capacity) and can confirm the theories of hoping to go viral, staging every op etc. When the babies were in the NICU, the nurses were not happy with the staged nature of every interaction — they just wanted to do their jobs and didn't like how the Gardners didn't take the other NICU parents into consideration. It was all about them. Also, I seem to recall them posting a pic of one of their kids with a totally blown IV and Facebook was like "Uhhh you might want to have your nurse check that" and the hospital wasn't super happy about it.  I was at a benefit for their hospital a couple of months ago and the Gardners were honored as the family of the year or whatever and you should have seen the side eye from the entire staff.

Anyway, just my experience with them. From what I can tell, they deeeeefinitely want to be the next Jon and Kate. And that's my GOMI contribution for the year, lol.

thumbsup Welcome!

Why anyone would want to be the next Jon and Kate is beyond me..because THAT worked out so well for them.

Well Kate is living in a million dollar home.  It seems it is all about the money.  They have probably told themselves that nothing can destroy their relationship.  That what happened with Jon and Kate would never happen to them.  Only they will walk away with millions of dollars in the bank and a million dollar home.  Plus fame, don't forget the fame.  By taking these babies out to show them off for some meet and greet, fame is obviously at the top of their want list.

Thank you for the hospital insight.  It sounds like it is exactly what I suspected!

Does it bother anyone else that she always refers to them as "the babies" as opposed to "my children" or "my girls" or "my babies"?  She always seems an emotional step away by calling them "the babies".  Sometimes it is "the girls"  but rarely.  Just my opinion, of course.

Thanks! high-five Honestly the meet and greet gives me the creeps big time. Babies… don't really do anything. It's purely an opportunity for strangers to come gawk at them and for and for the parents to be omgfamous. We live in Utah, the land of copious amounts of babymaking. Quads are unusual, but they aren't unheard of around here. I just don't get the fascination.

Yeah, I remember my dad sending me the newspaper article about them and their go fund me for who the hell knows when she was like, 9 weeks along or something. How can they be "family of the year" when they've been a family for a whole month? (Assuming if the girls are now 4 months and the benefit was months ago). It also seemed on Instagram that they took over the whole NICU. I can't imagine having that spectacle next to you, especially if you had a micropreemie or really sick baby. How obnoxious.
And I can promise you- she isn't doing it alone. I barely survived preemie twins the first year and I did have help. I don't buy it for a millisecond they are doing it on their own. Nope! Lol. That's what I'm telling myself anyway!

That's a whole lotta hairbows.

Her eye makeup is the worst! I have wanted A gomi thread just so it can be discussed.

I haven't side eyed much of what she's been doing until I saw she was having a meet her babies event.

OMG yes! Why so much makeup? And all.the.time! She dyed her eyebrows to be that dark too! Scary.

I can't be the only one wondering, WHEN DOES SHE TAKE CARE OF HER KIDS!?
She posted a video of a tour of their nurseries.. no babies in sight. She has flawless makeup and hair every day (and ALL day- that's a feat in itself with small kids), has time to own and update a shop on Etsy of handmade products, photographs the babies, runs the blog, posts on FB.. I don't know mamas of ONE who do this without struggling. Then she goes ahead and calls herself a "super mom" on her facebook page.. Uh, no, I think you just have super nannies. Or something. I don't know who takes care of the babies but it sure doesn't seem like mom.

Also, is anyone else weirded out by how… thin she is? She only had her babies 5 months ago and she's in REALLY good shape. If she worked it off, good for her (and add it to the list of things she does while neglecting her daughters above), but still.. weird.

Thank you for this!! I expected as much. I have family member who works NICU and said this family would piss her off. They had a "well-known blogger" in once and she was the full opposite. Didn't update any social media until that baby was safe. There were no pictures until that kid was like weeks old and yes, with oxygen tubes in. She respected the hospital staff and their setting and didn't "move her show in" like these people did.

I don't know.. it depends if she's pumping/breastfeeding. She could be naturally/genetically prone to bounce back, plus with pumping and/or breastfeeding (I just assume you would pump because 4 BABIES + 2 BOOBS), she has to be on overdrive even with supplementing with formula. BUT I would not be surprised if she is completely obsessed with getting her body back because TLC does not want a fat mom! rolleyes

My experience of multiples in the NICU is that you are paranoid for years afterward about illnesses and germs. My worst fear would have been a 'meet and greet'. If anything, I wanted to put a 'do not touch the babies' sign on the pram. I know it's OTT, but you tend to get paranoid with sick babies. I just don't understand what they are doing here?

IMHO, while I am sure they love their children, at this point they are props to reach a higher goal.  That goal being fame and fortune.   The more I think about the meet and greet and the time spent doing all that God awful make-up, the date nights, the Etsy business…the more irritated I become.  She has completely missed what being a mom is.   She is a damn fool for taking those kids to a meet and greet.  The dangers are real and great and there are several of them.  Plus, these are humans not circus freaks.  It is gross.
