Okay, listened to 3 episodes yesterday and I about peed myself laughing sometimes. On the very first episode when the one guy immediately launches into the idea of them having a business license, being registered, I knew this was going to be hilarious.  "Themes of persecution and alienation", Marxism, corporate espionage, and discussing if Ann M. Martin was influenced by a certain Chinese author….it's killing me. clap

Them talking about the business structure killed me too—"it's a small business with a flat management structure."

I'm a Kristy who wishes she was a Stacey. Yes my friends and I have discussed (recently) which BSC member we are. high-five

This sounds AMAZING! I have recently been buying BSC books again. I used to have TONS. I am so sad we sold them when I was a  teenager. If only I had known that 32 year old me would love to read them again.

I had recently thought about re-reading all of mine but I didn't know if that would make me a huge loser! I'm a 31 year old mom of two. I saved all of my BSC books and probably have close to 100. I hope my daughters will be interested in them someday.

I have been re-reading, so if that makes us losers…high-five I most recently finished 'Sea City, Here We Come'. I LOVE the super specials.

OMG yes I LOVE the Super Specials! I had all of them and read them soo many times. The one where they go on the Disney Cruise?? ah! I hope they cover them on the podcast!party0006

I'm so glad I came across this thread! I binged all the episodes in like three days. I re-read a bunch of the books about a year ago but it's so funny how much I remember from the books I haven't read in years and years, especially Claudia's outfits. The only thing I don't like is how much they like Karen. Karen is the worst.

She really is.  I have only listened to the first episode (I have a very, very short commute), but I loved how the one guy was describing Watson and HOW HE WILL NEVER BE HER DAD*.

*ETA: Kristy's dad, obviously.

I love this podcast. The five minute discussion in the first episode about the apostrophe dilemma (i.e., "Babysitters Club" or "Babysitter's Club") and Janine as a "deus-ex-machine-a" – HILARIOUS.

So far my absolute favorite moment was when they ranked Janine's IQ versus Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein, etc. I was in the middle of a run and I had to stop because I was laughing so hard. Something about it just really got me.

I can't remember which episode this happens in, but I was laughing like a maniac when Tanner brought up how he went tubing with his dad and his foot felt something slippery, so he reached down to grab it and it was a rubber dildo.  I'm laughing like an idiot at my desk right now.

I also love the BBBBBABYNATION (*sultry woman's voice* baby nation)

I am so ready to buy the T-shirt with Jamie Newton as a baby boy bee saying "Hi Hi!" I really need this to happen. These guys are so effing funny!  The role playing as Dawn and Mrs. Barrett, and as C.A.O. of Synertec at a LinkedIn meetup in Episode 5 just about killed me.

lmao

Just chiming in with more appreciation for this recommendation. This thing is gold.

I love when their theories are so far-fetched that they can't even maintain their typical ironically serious tone, so they're just snickering their asses off (e.g., that it's actually a bee-bee sitter's club).

Yeeees, the role plays just kill me! Dave Davidson, Mark Markson, Rich Richardson, all acted in their 'grown man' voices rofl
