Anyone else listen to them on The Real Weird Sisters? For those hams who are Harry Potter nerds as well as BSC fans, it's a match made in heaven!

Aw man, such a fan of this podcast! And yeah, I listened to the Real Weird Sisters episode. I love the seriousness with which the hosts tackled the issue of the sorting hat, so hard.
My neighbor and I were talking about it the other day and I was telling her how much Jack and Tanner are like…inspiration for my marriage? I love how they often disagree with each other, but are also totally willing to hop onboard whatever theory the other comes up with, or cede victory if the other person makes a great point. It's like even though they're arguing and criticizing, they're ultimately working together and on the same team called: unlocking every mystery Ann Matthews Martin has ever woven into the tapestry of the Baby Sitters Club, ever. It gets me, man. Tanner's my favorite, hands down, but I think Jack's more angry/pedantic vibe is necessary to the whole yin and yang of the BSCC. His recaps are the best.
I can also totally tell whether they've smoked a bowl before recording. Jack has this high laugh he does that's a pretty dead giveaway.
The only thing I don't like about this podcast is how much it makes me yearn for being part of a book club with readers like these dudes!

I used to listen to The Real Weird sisters but their verbal ticks drove me crazy. And I'm not even a crazy verbal tick person! It didn't seem as bad on the BSCC episode, so maybe they got that under control and I can listen again.
I love Jack's recaps/rants. He makes me want to re-read the books and find all of the Christian elements in the Dawn books.

I just want to thank everyone for this recommendation. I was looking for new podcast inspiration last night and tried this out today. I was laughing so hard at times that I had to pause it since I was at work and it wasn't entirely appropriate. Such joy and throwbacks from these guys, so thank you!

I started listening to this podcast last month after reading about it here and I LOVE it. I was a huge BSC fan when I was young (also a member of the scholastic club) and I'm surprised at how much I remember when they're discussing the books. The hosts are hilarious and I love the ongoing segments/jokes. It was great from the start, as soon as bee theory was introduced ("it's never explicitly stated that these are human beings") I knew it was a gem. Thanks to everyone that recommended it!
