Thus, coma. meowed
There's a new one called Still Buffering that's produced by the Maximum Fun network (I love a lot of their podcasts). It's two sisters, one is 15 and the other is I think in her early 30s, and they talk about the experience of being a teenage girl now vs. ~15 years ago. Different topic each week.

I think it's great for teenagers, adult women who were teenagers in the 90s/early 00s, and parents of teens. They're both really smart and really funny ladies.

Cosign. This one is so much fun and the hosts are so funny and genuine. I love when Sydnee talks about growing up in the '90s, and her sister has no idea what a CD binder would be ie.

It makes you feel old, but it's a great listen.

The longest shortest time.  It's about parenting and childbirth, etc.  You hear alot of peoples stories,  it's funny and interesting.  I  just wish some of the episodes were longer!

has anyone listened to YardTalk? (Mike Yard of The Nightly Show, with two other female hosts, sorry, I don't remember their names off the top of my head) I really enjoy it. I think it sort of belongs in this topic because:

1- they had a long conversation about women being drafted in the military (pro or con)

2- mike yard brought up, in the latest episode (I think?) about women's tampons and pads being taxed extra, but stuff like rogaine isn't, and they talked about how bullshit that is. mike yard is a super feminist, is the conclusion i have come too after several episodes of this podcast, which makes me like him even more!

3- they discuss other women and race-related stuff too; sorry, too much wine to remember right now. sleepy. you should listen to it though!!

Thanks for all the recs, I have soooooo many podcasts to listen to now, how will I ever narrow them all down ;)

2 Dope Queens is super fantastic. It's less "for women," more "by two women who make it a big point to be inclusive." Their guests do stand up and the hosts do great chatty chatty. I came by to suggest it, but I'm glad someone else already has. It's hilarious, touching, and smart. Like The Moth, but more boozey, cuss-y, and relatable (for me as a 32 yo lady).

Sex Nerd Sandra
She touches on a lot of topics that I haven't heard explained anywhere else. I learned so much about asexuality & lots of other things. The main topic is sex/sexual relationships but she frequently explores intersectional issues. She seems to be going through something and isn't posting as frequently now.

Also, hi! newhere

Reviving this thread because I found a lot of great podcasts through this. Thanks for all the great suggestions!

I feel a bit conflicted about Stuff Mom Never Told You. Their content is always interesting, timely, engaging, and well-researched. However, occassionally I find myself irritated by their voices. Sometimes I think their tone, cadence, and even word choice sounds too singsong-y and breezy during serious, difficult topics. It particularly bothered me during the recent episode on heroin addiction. Does anyone else feel this way? I'm wondering if it's just me.

It's not just you…. The failure to adjust their tone for serious topics has made me skip some episodes all together.smiley-signs064
