Is she one of those runners who just runs every run as fast as possible?  Her 20 miler in March (I ran it super flat) would have predicted a faster Falmouth Road race time.  I've been following her for a while (she's quasi-local) but never noticed how her race times were sometimes slower than her training runs.

It looks that way. From the Garmin shots she posts on IG, there is NO pace variation at all—she seems to run everything at the exact same effort level.

When she actually runs (because, even with Garmin pics, you can't trust when it was from. Who knows how many Garmin shots she's been recycling! Sorry but people who lie make me insane), she is probably running too fast.

But given she lies, I don't buy the FitSnap posts either. No way someone runs 14 miles at 8:01 but then runs a race of 7 miles at the same 8:01 (that is her official time, not the watch pic of hers with 7:58). Or the 7 miles tempo at 7:24, 5 days ago, on the treadmill (how much stepping off happened here?).

She's got some wacked out upcoming race schedule posted on her blog too. Which, if she doesn't end up injured from or totally crashing and burning at most of them, I'll be highly surprised. Can't fake the race results – those are posted for all to see.

Though I'm sure it makes a good excuse as to why she didn't perform. Marathon, 6 days later another marathon, and the next day a half – guaranteed recipe for poor performance.

I don't know why she irritates me so much, but this latest IG post where she asks who's registering for Boston this year like she is going to next week. And then doesn't correct people who comment and assume she qualified and congratulate her. Just no.

Does she ever reply to the people questioning her?

No one on Instagram seems to be aware that she didn't qualify.  Her published paces are certainly fast enough to BQ.

The glaring discrepancy between her training and race paces is just eek

I mean, she has posted several sub-8 double-digit runs in the past few months. You don't see these self-congratulatory Garmin shots post-race, or even a mention of her pace or time. Someone who runs 8 miles @ 7:21min/mi. while training should be racing well below a 50-minute 10k, unless their published paces are lies (which I am inclined to believe).

I don't follow her, but See Mom Run Far was outed when someone looked her up on Garmin Connect and noticed a HUGE discrepancy in total time and actual running time…. just sayin'.

Yeah…that's not possible. She's full of it.

4 easy miles at 8:11. HAHAHAHAHA! No. That's not your easy pace. That's your race pace. This chick is so full of it. No mention of Boston so I assume she is waiting for charity or a free ride from Balega?

How does someone run 8 minute pace on a 20 mile TRAINING run and then finish the Maine marathon today at 9:17 pace? Her shorter runs of 7-10 miles are around the 7:30-8:00 range so even that adds a weirdness to why you are running a training run for a marathon at the same pace as your training pace for a 10k. She never posts any training runs or race times where she is ever running slower than an 8:15 pace, yet somehow ran a 9:17 pace marathon. I just don't get it!

Four days before her race she ran seven miles at 7:37 pace. That's about 18% faster than her marathon pace. To put it into perspective, that's the equivalent of Janae running her 3:15 marathon, but a couple of days prior running seven miles at 6:05 pace.

I agree with Snarkholm Syndrome. Shades of See Mom Run Far with this one. That, or she has the worst race pacing / nerves of anyone under the sun.

I find it irritating that she never posts her race times. Just training times. Like we are stupid and can't look your results up?

Also interesting is the reduced volume of Garmin and FitSnap shots recently. Wonder if she's figured out people are on to her.
