Wow, she's having a meltdown on facebook. I feel sorry for her. Somehow her facebook page has received a huge mass of new likes. She doesn't even know how she did it. She better take a step back and re-evaluate before she implodes.

Yea, I think she is really talented, but, c'mon, isn't saying you find something "humorous" just sarcasm? Maybe she really did find it funny, who knows. When I read stuff like that, I tend to read between the lines, as I think most folks do, and it reads y'all are bitches!sangry

But, sometimes, I think she has the patience of Job, when people ask her over and over and over about something that she explained very clearly in her blog post. I'd probably have melted down long ago.

Yeah, I couldn't do it – I have no patience for people. But, she's been on this big humblebrag – that resulted in several fb meltdowns (that have been deleted). I hope she can find a happy medium.

Ahhh…. I only follow my fb liked pages sporadically, I have my settings to where they do not show in my news feed. I guess I missed the meltdown/deleted posts.12

Yeah, I've un-followed/hidden/unliked so many bloggers/people on facebook.

I like her post from today. She kept it real about having an online meltdown. I hope she keeps it together. She seems to really, really work hard.

Her kitchen is really coming along. I wouldn't want it, but it's nice. Amazed at what she did by herself.

Me too. I can't believe she has so little help either. I'm enjoying her journey. She kind of frustrates me changing her mind so much, be I do think the cabinets ended up looking better.

I loooooove her green cabinets! It's so refreshing to see someone take big risks with color. Makes me rethink my taupe kitchen cabinets.

I really like the kitchen too, aside from the floors. The green is very different. I am still a white cabinet girl but I like to see the risk taking and admire from afar. Her blog has been on point for the entire year!emoticon-animal-001

I can generally approve of green cabinets – I did them in my kitchen in my rental and loved it.  But there is something about these that make me think "bathroom."  I think it might be the trim.

I really love what she does. Not because it's my style, but because she is pretty detailed, posts regularly and takes risks. Some things I think she does because we all wonder, "would that really work?" like painting her couch. Do I want to paint mine? No. But I do love seeing what someone did and how it turned out. I love that she took inspiration from Gwenyth Paltrow's kitchen, that everyone has pinned, and tried to make it work with her aesthetic, which seems to run more casual/traditional. I have definitely thought, how would you make that work in a normal home without really tall ceilings.

I don't love the backsplash – I really think the original copper one is what made it look so high end. For me, white isn't great. That original kitchen works so well in part because it's a bit dark – Black floors, wood or copper counters (I can't tell from the pictures), copper backsplash. There is no high contrast in the inspiration space, which makes the green seem less garish. I would have liked a darker floor – walnut stain would have been beautiful, paired with copper/brass depending on your look finishes in a modern finish. But I like the clean look of the really straight hardware in the inspiration kitchen. It's not my kitchen and I don't read her for design inspiration per se – I read to see how I might build my own faux fireplace or build a wall of cabinetry using Home Depot stock cabinets. That's really impressive. I could change out the finishes to make them less traditional and more my style – that's easy, but seeing someone have a vision and execute it solo is just really inspirational.

I think Kristy can get a little whiny sometimes, but she has been killing it since she got this house!  I think that the one thing I really am starting to notice about her is how detail oriented her she is.  No shitty tile job a la 4 Men 1 Lady here.

I definitely don't have the same taste as her at all, but I really do admire a woman that will repaint her cabinets numerous times until she gets it just right.

I can't believe she does all this on her own. I'd love to go help for a weekend just to learn from her. I'm not all that far away smile
