So this blog is my favourite lifestyle blog. I've been following Julia for a few years now and even read all of her old posts at some point. It is in Swedish but my laptop automatically translates so it's not a problem for me. She's a couple of years younger than me but her posts are all too familiar. She's got a mix of everything; clothes and style, thoughts and feelings, travelling, food and cooking. I've never come across such a relatable down to earth blog that's never boring. There's no sponsored content, there's not much curated polished content but it is so far from one of those schoolgirly blogs. SOMI please

Thanks. I like that there's actual content and wonder/suspect if this is highly influenced by culture… and why so many American blogs feel like gaudy commercials? These Nordic girls have something interesting going on. They're not lamenting about being single (or treat it as tragic) or writing in embarrassingly revealing diary format. They seem healthier, seem to enjoy life more and have genuine interests that seem pure and honest… not motivated by sycophantic tendencies. Kinda makes me wish I lived there… the grass is always greener, lol. If they're interested in fashion…it's just about the fashion not anything else (ex. tacky self-promotion and shilling); I've also noticed they tend not to promote too many (if any) intimate details on their private lives.

I used to follow a Finnish fashion blogger who went by the name Ranna (her online moniker was "Helmi otsalla") back in 2009-2011. I can't find her original blog but, she did some blogging at http://www.trendi.fi/ before vanishing.

I feel like a creep but I did some internet sleuthing and found her blogger page under the name "Riikka Aaltonen" here: https://www.blogger.com/profile/06187750152862853141 and her twitter here: https://mobile.twitter.com/iamranna. I wish she still blogged. Her style was consistent, tailoring was always well done, and she always knew how to dress her tiny body shape/type really well. Since then, I haven't been able to track her down but I wish I could see what she's up to. Anyways, her old Flickr account is still up so you can see her style from waaaayback when:

I love Scandi bloggers. I used to follow many who have disappeared now; according to annika, elinkan, lina lundstedt and a few others. I know what you mean about it seeming like it being greener on the other side. She did breakup with her long term boyfriend about a year and a half ago (her only as far as I know) and did write about it but not giving out too many details. I do have to say I envy her steady life at a younger age, I'd love to have lived by myself from the age of about 21 with a job passion and travel when I feel like it.

This is a Scandi fashion blogger I follow and she's very different from the usual ones. Not much monochrome here, full of bright colours and patterns which I love. She does do commercial stuff and works with monki but she's not fake at all. Tell me what you think of her blog

Oh I know who Riikka is! All of these bloggers I've mentioned I found via lookbook.nu and she was one of my favourites. I did find her Instagram recently and it's full of her drawings and no outfit pics. She has a site with her drawings on. I'll post it here if I find it

Sara is a Finnish blogger who loves for the most part in vintage style if you were interested in that. She does remind me a tiny bit of Riikka.

Elinkan disappeared a few years ago but she was very popular way back and she had a few blogs, the oldest one still somewhere on the Internet and the radaar magazine blog which was deleted. She last posted 4 years ago so I hope she's happy in a good job living with her boyfriend. Ditto to according to annika who was very popular but quit blogging and social media around the same time because she had had cancer and then her boyfriend proposed and she didn't want to share anything anymore. I hope she's happy and healthy even though of course I'd love her to start another blog or to come back on Instagram. Julia is probably one of the last ones that I follow apart from sara that is left on the blogging scene
