So about what I said chair

I would feel really shitty starting a thread about her since she seems really nice and has been through a lot with her disability, but I get frustrated because she writes about life and love as if it's a Taylor Swift song.  She's over 30 and still writing blog letters to her hypothetical husband but makes no attempt to meet anyone.  She's against online dating but doesn't go out, and seems hung up on guys from a decade ago.  I partially read her blog hoping she'll change and start "going for it" but I don't think it will ever happen idontknowShe used to be an editor/advisor at a college newspaper but then quit to blog "full time" and her content went downhill.  I think she's a great writer though.

What disability? (I don't read her blog regularly, but I'm curious.)

Freeman-Sheldon Syndrome, its a bone and muscular disorder I had never heard of before I read her blog, seems rare.  I wish she would write more about her life and less about fluffy stuff. I would love for her to try out internet dating and how her disability factors in.

I second that. She seems so sweet but I just want to tell her to get out of the house and meet some people! She really romanticizes things, which is sweet, but it is also a little sad.  She has something called Freeman Sheldon Syndrome, which is a physical disability.

Yep! thumbsup I really enjoyed her older entries on more deep subjects but when commenters would call her out on how she doesn't leave the house she would get very defensive.  I wish she'd acknowledge that she is very sheltered due to her disability/living at home and not going out except to Target/CVS.  She also seems against dating someone with a disability which seems kind of hypocritical (not that she should only date guys with disabilities but that she doesn't even want to consider it I don't understand). I really want her to try online dating and get out there dammit! sfun_deadhorse

Ohhh. Sorry guys, I'm an idiot. For some reason I thought you all meant Elise Blaha and you were just making a statement, "So about what I said." -_- Please ignore me, I'm still sleep deprived from traveling this weekend. Carry on!

Lindsay at Lindsay Lives Well (formerly Lindsay Does Life a la Ben Douchebag Davis). I found her tumblr a year or two ago and her weight loss was really motivating. 8 months or so went by without checking and she'd gained all the weight back. I eventually had to take her out of my reader because her posts are soooo depressing. She really struggles with emotional eating, depression, self-esteem issues, it's just painful to read. She seems like a sweet person, though, so I'd never want to start her own thread.

I feel like theseprices.net is too small to put here but the sudden turn to a SAHM/Paleo blog is interesting to follow- gotta love someone being so smug about a lifestyle change a whopping two weeks into it, especially when they are still eating at Chick-fil-a. She seems really unhappy already at home, too, and I'm not sure why she's going some days w/o showering.

Also, Aunie Sauce, but mostly because I can't figure out which forum category to even put her into.

And Lipgloss and Crayons. Why doesn't she have a forum?

She seems EXTREMELY set in her ways and afraid of change, God love her. I really hope she tries something new to try to meet guys sometime. I think online dating is a great idea for her. Plus, it is kinda hypocritical of her not to want to date someone with a disability.

bandwagon I followed her for a few months before I got sick of her 12 year-old musings on love and general lack of content. When she tries, she writes extremely well. It just seems like she's phoning it in.

Oh my goodness – WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? How can you upload that on your blog, reread the post before publishing, read the published post, and not go back and DELETE – chalking it up to a moment of insanity? I am horrified.

That being said, I find her blog inoffensive and wish her all the best on her fitness and health journey. I would just recommend that she not post pictures like that one above, especially since she doesn't blog anonymously – things live forever on the Internet.
