I'm looking for recommendations of bloggers who happen to be moms and who also work outside the home. (Note I did not say "mommy bloggers.") I think when it comes down to it I just can't identify with SAHMs and the blogs from this world are too eye-rolling and rage-inducing for me to invest in them any further. However, I'd love to read moms who are trying to juggle home and work balance and whose world is bigger than potty-training and turning their blog into a "brand." Career women raising kids who somehow manage to find time to blog, too – do they exist?

I'm a big fan of Lag Liv (http://lagliv.blogspot.com/)…she's a lawyer who works full-time and has three young kids. She's not a big-name blogger but she talks a lot about being a working mom and balancing everything.

Julia from My Life in Transition is one that comes to mind.  I like her whole "making it work" series on working moms with blogs.  I'm sure you could find a lot of good working mom blogs through that!

I know this is a tall order but I hope to find some new blogs to read in this genre.

I like The Fence, although she hasn't been posting a lot lately, because, unsurprisingly, she sounds like she's pretty busy.

I work OTH and have 3 kittens. I've thought about starting a blog in this genre. Glad to know there are some good ones out there

Thanks for this!  I have never been able to find any blogs like this – WOH, multiple kids, 2 FT jobs between the adults…  Seems like most of the working mom blogs are moms who are WAH FT or PT – which is fine, but I can't relate to that.  This one is just the ticket, I spent awhile reading through her archives yesterday.  Off to check out the other ones too!

Have you read the SHU box blog? She's a physician who recently had her second baby.

I think I used to read this blog YEARS ago- I don't even remember how I found it but someone I knew linked up to it bc she had her kid taken by DCFS for some trumped up charge- like a broken arm or something. Man, I had completely forgotten about that.

Iusedtodriveaminivan is a FT WOH mom of 3. I followed her blog when she was morethanaminivanmom, which she closed after her divorce and remarriage a year or so later. Her new blog focuses on running half marathons and healing from her divorce (infidelity). I miss the old blog with the snark and drama though popcorn
