I'm sure these are lovely ladies but I have got to the point where they can GOMI.

They are separate bloggers/youtubers who do a lot of collabs. As a results both of their blogs/channels end up sharing the same content. I am so bored of the same obviously comped products being pushed by them and favourites videos with undisclosed products. I can't trust their opinions any more!

The real GOMI moment for me has to be their trip to Ghana for Sport Relief for TWO DAYS. I couldn't bring myself to watch their youtube videos explaining the purpose of the trip but am still completely at a loss as to what two beauty bloggers were doing getting sponsored for something like that!!

Yes! There is something really quite distasteful about how sport/comic relief operates.  Really it appears to be just an opportunity for celebrities to gain publicity rather than deliver true humanitarian work.  How much money was wasted sending them, the crew etc out there to get a few  photo ops?

This is why such forms of charity are continued to be viewed controversially. Also, Lily comes off as very cold and unendearing. Recommending expensive products as being budget and affordable.

Lily Pebbles is still relatively new to me (and I'm not liking her) but I used to be really into Vivianna and binged watch all her older videos; her personality was genuine and I liked her sense of humour. Then came the sponsors…oh, did those sponsors came in droves. After a while I just gave up. I couldn't stand every item being "*C/O" and I really lost any kind of respect for her opinion, I mean I know every Youtuber always says "Even though all my shit is free, you'll always get my HONEST opinion blah blah blah" but even still, does anyone ever really believe them when they say that? My favourite type of Youtuber always says something about when they get free stuff and don't like the product – they don't make a video about it. Vivianna has just become a shill-w***e and that's where I get off.

Ha I like how you've given then a joint thread since they're basically the same person now. I used to dislike Lily Pebbles and think she was really snooty and stuck up but she seems to be a bit more personable now and her videos are always really skillfully edited. I much preferred Anna but I think the scales are tipping now and I don't click on her videos half as much as I just find her language usage so cliched and full of alliteration and the like, seems like she's trying super hard to look like a profesh journalist. Anna has also ripped off quite a few features from into the gloss and her blog layout is extremely similar, which she's mentioned she's a big fan of and Lily basically copies ever other youtuber so they're both really unoriginal. Also that stage a few weeks ago when they both started introducing themselves at the start of their vidoes like "Hey I'm Anna from Vivianna does Makeup" nearly had me unsubscribing from them with the cringe… we're on your channel, we know who you are drool

I actually adore Vivianna. She's super adorable, likeable, and her boyfriend is really cute. I can't get into Lily at all, though, as she seems really snooty and a bit cold in her videos. I'm actually surprised that they're such good friends since their personalities seem like total opposites in their videos.

I totally agree with Pismo Beach Disaster — I really like Anna but don't like Lily at all. I've watched a couple of Lily's videos and she just seems to detached and boring, but Anna is prtty enthusiastic and seems like a normal, approachable person. I actually even like her weekly blogs even though they're always the same thing. She does try kind of hard to seem slick and professional, especially with her blog, but she seems like she'd be fun to hang out with.

They both bore the shit out of me and it's obvious they aren't giving you their unfiltered opinions on the products.  "Shill w***e" pretty much covers it, for both of them.

I have to admit that I quite like Lilypebbles, she seems quite genuine and still down to earth to me, e.g. when it comes to money. For example she shops in all the "normal" shops like Topshop, Zara etc whereas most of Anna's stuff seems to be from Whistles recently.

I was wondering if they still have "real" jobs??

i think they blog all day and go to press launches. Their beauty videos are all the same you watch one the other will be the same AND IT WILL BE UP MINUTES after. They seem to plan to post their beauty videos around the same time soo anoying. droolsangry

I have to say the vlogs are a lot better than the actual beauty videos…sometimes.

On another bright side…AT LEAST they act their age…cue Zoella! ughhhhhammerdrool

Lily's most recent summer lookbook video, sponsored by Starbucks, was absolutely ridiculous. The clothes were boring but fine (as is most of what she wears), but her mincing around pretending to drink Frappuccinos is just embarrassing.

That video was awful. I think her clothes lately have been very try hard and boring and shapeless in a not good way. I don't really get why she would do a Starbucks video like that. I sometimes get the feeling that she thinks she should be more popular then she is. She would be better off if she just loosened up a bit. That is where the different between Anna and Lily is for me- even though they basically have the same videos Anna feels more comfortable and fun.
