I normally only snark/lurk over in the HLB section but after watching just one video (her latest, the night time routine) I instantly had to google if she is on GOMI.

Haha, same here!

A flossing party?

Brushing my teeth is a very special time?

The pretentious is so strong with her. She posted a video on how to have a good relationship and I can't force myself to watch it.

Her husband looks like an 80s Teen movie bully. Or the father of an 80s teen movie bully.

I cannot get over how they floss together. Ick! They sure lead a manufactured life. So sterile, so organic.

Between them hugging every night as they floss cause it's their "thing", and the husband lighting candles everywhere they go….I mean….LMAO I love it! They're so weird. Oh, and the alarms to remind them to sleep lol I only saw the night/morning routine videos so I can't say I hate her or anything but those two were real gems.

I can admit to liking her videos at first but I just can't anymore. I have always found Alex to be creepy and weird, but I don't know why. I know this is mean but I find him really unattractive. Also you can tell in their video together (where they sat down and answered q's about their relationship or something) that Mimi wears the trousers in the relationship, not Alex. She cuts him off so many times in conversation it's awkward. I also don't like their holier-than-thou attitude. I know dishing out positivity and self-help advice is their thing, but they seem so plastic. Those daily routine videos. Like c'mon. Yoga every morning with your sun salutations, 5 minute journals, dancing in front of the mirror while brushing your teeth, like WTF. I don't understand. I want them to be more flawed so they can be relatable; they are like robots! sangrysangry

i'm so confused about her. i liked her what i ate in a day video but i'm confused about where they're getting money from and i feel like they bought a lot of their followers? i don't know, like i think they both look fine and i don't quite get the comments about their looks or accents, but i feel like there is something gritfy going on i can't put my finger on.

It's definitely possible, but I think they're just good at starting businesses where a surprising number of people will pay for that product. Hair extensions, that journal, the planner, those $$$ umbrellas. To me, it's like "Who'd buy that?" but they could just have a knack for it. They also run some kind of agency in London (?) and there could be other sources of income that aren't interesting enough for YouTube. Mimi told the story somewhere of Alex getting fired from their bank job when they were young because he started a business importing cars. It didn't sound illegal, exactly, but like a weird talent for seeing an opening to make money in a perhaps semi-shady/odd way. I agree it seems crazy that they have such luxurious apartments, offices in different countries, and all the travel that they claim isn't sponsored. I said this already in this thread but I think what's creepy about them is that they seem to want to be self-improvement gurus. That could also be where you're getting the sense of something "off."

On another note, it makes me sort of despair for the youth of the future that so many girls say she's fat. Some of what she says is inane IMHO but if she's fat then I should be locked away in a cage and fed nothing but lettuce for the next 50 years.

Oh My CAT

I *only* watch them when stoned and I am obsessed with her! She reminds me of a good friend I had (have?) who moved when she got married and I still miss her :( They both seem so sweet, kind and generous. She's SOMI in my opinion, as long as I have things to get high on, of course.

I bought their extensions twice embarrassed and have to say that I really like them.  The shipping is crazy fast too.  She doesn't really bother me but does come across as though she thinks she has all of the answers to all of life's problems.
