Its certainly not the ugliest thing Sherry has created, but it didn't really seem very "them" (evident by the fact we haven't seen it in H3) .. The colors didn't go with the house or what they usually go for, the words themselves didn't scream Petersik either… Maybe if it had been a quote about the home?… and I hated the whole staged set up all around it….. That damn cactus.

Ok, so technically Burger made this, but it was Sherry's idea.  She framed it for John's birthday.

omg this thread – I've gone from eek to lol to uh to others-221 and back. I wonder how many times she's bragged about her ZOMG NYC! fine art! education on the blog. No one would give this stuff a second thought if she weren't so high on her own fumes. It's just embarrassing.

" art was my favorite subject in school and off I went to get a bachelor of fine arts in NYC"

"I was actually super excited to get back to my art school roots. Four years of it in NYC had me creating all the time, but in the five years since graduation I had slowly segued into painting rooms instead of art so I knew I was a bit rusty."

"This time I thought I’d paint something. Not a wall or a piece of furniture, but a piece of art. I’ve only really blogged about one attempt that I’ve made in the past few years (this guy) but it’s high time that changed – especially since art is my first love. I actually went to an art university in NYC (I have a bachelor of fine arts – which I never use!)."

"I went to FIT in NYC where I paid my own way and studied art for four years and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. There are very few things I love more than creating something meaningful & hanging it on the wall. In our archives you’ll find 50+ posts about how to make your own art, from vintage subway posters to framing keys from all of the places you’ve lived with small labels below each one. Those feel personal and charming to me, and they’re made with love – so as an artist with a BFA, I call them art."

"Betcha didn’t know this about me, but I went to a four year art college in NYC (I have a bachelor of Fine Arts from a SUNY school, FIT in NYC if you’re wondering). So I actually consider myself to be a fine artist "

"p.s. I actually went to FIT, a SUNY art school in Manhattan (Chelsea) and got my BFA in advertising there (after taking two years of Fine Art training)- but many people assume I went to NYU though!"

"…(she was described as highly creative and artistic- and she did get a bachelor of fine arts)"

"…I went off to college in NYC to study fine art (I actually have a Bachelor Of Fine Arts in advertising, which I switched into after two years of fine arts training since I worried that I wouldn’t make it as a starving artist)."

"I was a general fine art major the first two years and then did an advertising design concentration to graduate with my BFA as an art director."

"Sherry branched out and started selling inexpensive art prints that she had printed locally and shipped herself (she’s got a fine arts degree)."

"I’m not quite the fine artist that Sherry is" …

"I got my BFA, so it was mostly things like ceramics, figure drawing, graphic design, window design, etc."

"She’s got her BFA and originally went to school to be an artist, but life has kinda pushed that aside. I’ve heard her say more than once while watching Work of Art on Bravo that she misses it"

"(I took every art class my high school offered and then went off to art school in NYC for college- where I somehow ended up with a BFA in Advertising Design)."

" I’m super proud of my New York art school resume"

"And speaking of art school, that’s where a drawing professor of mine dubbed me “the narrator of life.” "

"I was actually super excited to get back to my art school roots. Four years of it in NYC had me creating all the time, but in the five years since graduation I had slowly segued into painting rooms instead of art so I knew I was a bit rusty. "

"(an old art-school trick of the trade)"

"I actually used to work with oil paint all the time (it was one of my favorite mediums up there with watercolor and clay sculpture) but I definitely feel rusty. It’s been nearly 8 years since art school!"

" I actually went to art school in NYC and have a huge appreciation for crediting and not profiting off someone else’s design"

"Thanks to my art school background we use photoshop to create our mood boards…"

Too many times to count. These were just from the quick few minutes I was willing to search, which actually made me feel like a psycho, so I quit. I bet we could multiply this by about five. dead
