I don't know how a page for Ali doesn't exist yet, but she is becoming so insufferable. Please, tell me more about how you would NEVER keep sugar, pasta or any processed snacks in your house. Oh and your neighbor asked if you had lost weight because you look so thin??? But you haven't it must just be all the toning from your Peloton obsession. GTFO.

Yeah, she's a little nuts. A few weeks ago, she was like, "How do I stay thin when traveling? I pack snacks! Also, I'd rather be hangry than eat something that isn't on my short list of approved foods!"

I do genuinely like her recipes/ideas to incorporate more vegetables into meals via spiralizing (however even though I know it is her shtick NOT EVERYTHING needs to be spiralized lol- sliced with a knife works great for some things lol).
But I have been following her on Instagram for some weight loss motivation and she is starting to come off a bit smug to me. However, I did buy that nut butter pouch thing she was raving about- I wanted an easy to work with nut butter for my desk at work, and it is really good (and squeezes out so not messy).

And they just booked a trip to Maui? How many vacations do they take a year, my goodness.
She definitely seems a little nuts/restrictive with her food choices.

I am so excited to see this thread! Hugs to sloredom for starting it!
I drank the KoolAid and bought her gadget, it is actually excellent quality and works amazing!
But she is getting more and more insufferable and is threatening to veer into weirdo territory. I had to unfollow her fitness account because it was so annoying.
Just about every single one of her recipes is literally spiralized shit sprinkled with chickpeas and smothered in BBQ sauce and cheese, and I will fight anyone who says otherwise!
The potato bagels are so cute though

Sweet jeebus weeping in a crosswalk, what an insult to food that site is. I just read her post for "Slow-cooker Boeuf Bourguignon with Spiralized Vegetables" and her claim it was a "total Julia Child moment"
Yeah, nope. Lady, that watery beef mess you made is no more Boeuf Bourguignon than Dinty Moore Beef Stew, and Julia Child would beat you with a capon for the reference. Put your stupid twirly appliance away and get some knife skills.

Omg I am so happy there is now a thread for her.
So, I will say that I actually have made a lot of her recipes and I really enjoyed her second cookbook.
But! She has been so over the top lately and clearly has gone beyond healthy and is entering disordered-eating territory! When she said she will not eat at the airport if there is nothing healthy there? Like hello, usually you can at least get a banana or a yogurt. I can not imagine restricting myself that much. And I hate when she says that she will NEVER count calories. Honestly, I find her crazy list of things she won't eat a lot more unhealthy then just counting calories.
Also, her recipes in general bother me because a lot of them are just rip-offs. She just finds a good recipe, spiralizes something, and then calls it her own. Which- whatever. I know lots of food bloggers are basically doing this. But anytime she starts talking about the creative process I have to roll my eyes.

She is definitely becoming smug. I think she has made a lot of money from her blog and cookbooks so she can take a lot of vacations. I have been following her from early on and really did not expect her cookbooks to sell. I mean how many things can you spiralize? Do you really need a cookbook to tell you to replace noodles with zoodles? I was very surprised at the "things I don't keep in my house" post and seemed a bit disordered. Who doesn't keep butter in their house? Ali does look a lot skinnier than she used to and I think she probably feels she needs to look that way to sell her blog/cookbooks.

LOL @ her stupid list, just say you avoid sugar, gluten, and dairy like every other "modified Whole30" wannabe on earth. No pasta except couscous? Girl, couscous is literally teeny pieces of pasta? Why are you specifically singling out Nutella if you don't eat sugar? Also, I would legit die without mayonnaise. Just curl up and shrivel into a husk of sadness.

All of this. She is really smug and has way too many food rules. And what's up with the constant social updates? We really don't need to see anymore snaps of your feet walking to the train station and need to know every time you pause your day to take a crap. Girl has zero chill.

I scheduled a consult with a local personal trainer and nutritionist. I stated that I was specifically wanting healthy lunch and snack options. I also said that I don't like onions, zucchini and other summer squashes, didn't eat much processed food, and my diet wasn't heavy on white carbs but I wasn't interested in banning them entirely. Our face-to-face meeting was her telling me that her meal plans included NO white potatoes, pasta/flour or rice, and the meal plan she sent me included yellow squash, zucchini, on ions, as well as heavy spices I also don't like. I do like spaghetti squash, but wouldn't put marinara on it. Unless you have celiac disease (it's incorrect to say "I'm celiac." WTF That doesn't make any sense!) I haven't even seen this person's blog.

I enjoy spiralizing zucchini sometimes. And…. ummm… well, that's basically it. I can't make the damn spiralizer spiralize anything else without it looking like some kind of death scene from the movie "Sausage Party".
I feel like this woman is just over-committed to a gimmick. She's in too deep now, and now that literally every human who wants to cut things into tiny strings is doing it, she has to go deeper into the woo to keep people hooked.
