I remember telling my husband that it was so weird that she looked like she was in such an uncomfortable bed/room for delivery for today standards.  Then it all made sense.  I cried through that whole part when the Dr comes out to talk to the dad.

I didn't realize it til the guy offered him a cigarette. I was all WHAT?!?! What is it, 1976?!

Close. LOL!

I loved this show. Kept me up thinking a half hour later. The promos hooked me to watch and because I think Justin Hartley is a babe. I enjoyed him on Mistresses but sure you all know him from other roles better.

I remember thinking the photo box with the years were odd and clothes dated.  I was mostly surprised that the delivery wasnt an automatic CS and how relaxed the hospital seemed. I was surprised Jack wasnt allowed in the room because typically the someone is allowed is in the room.  I also wondered why an ultrasound didnt pick up on the cord wrapped around the baby's neck. Then when he was offered a cig indoors, I realized what was going on.

I thought it was a really sweet show with great choices in actors. I hope it stays on the air.

No ultrasound picked up on the fact the cord was around my baby's neck.  She was a cs b/c she was showing distress and come to find out the cord was around her neck twice, so I didn't think twice about that.  I missed the part where he was offered a cigarette or I probably would have picked up on it earlier.

Oh man, really.  I'm glad your daughter was OK!!! I'm having a repeat CS soon and now that all makes me nervous.

The cig was when they were standing looking at the babies, right before the fireman lit up indoors.

Someone commented on an article earlier in the week and guessed what the twist would be. So I went into the show assuming that was it and am kind of bummed that I didn't get to be surprised with everyone else!

The doctor made me cry my head off! I will be interested to see how they continue with the flashbacks.

As soon as she started showing signs of distress my OB was like NOPE we aren't waiting this out off to OR so thankfully she was fine.  That part of the show really got me.  I bet you'll be fine for your repeat section.  I was induced and she just didn't take it well but like I said my OB was on top of it.  Congrats on a new baby.

Okay then I didn't miss it then, it was right before that when my husband called the twist that they were family.  He put together that his family was already at the hospital and just felt that it was right and then it shows the fire fighter and the dad standing next to each other.

I loved it! I totally didn't see the twist coming. I was also a little weirded out about the triplet thing. First, that she wasn't having a C/S, and second that there was some concern over the third baby's position…today, if there's even a hint that a singleton might be dangerously positioned, they immediately C/S, so for them to be like *shrug, might be dangerous* seemed weird before realizing it was 1970's.

I also sobbed at the doctor's speech. The doctor in general was just amazing. Very calm/quiet, which made his speech even more intense.

I'm of two minds about this show. I don't think it's going to be very good, but I also think I'm going to watch it every week and enjoy the tears it wrings from me. I hope they give Mandy Moore a chance to act because so far (in her 13 seconds of on-screen speaking time) she's served up the same treacly bullshit she always does. I want to like you! Let me like you!

I. Love. This. Show.
It's just the right time for something like this – I never watched Parenthood (but maybe I should start? Is it on Hulu or Netflix?) and I just have been craving a good well-done family-centric show….
I read that the next show picks up 8 years from now (for the parents) and that "their marriage is in a very different place". This makes me sooooo sad I hope it doesn't go south 🙁
But then the article said that the third episode goes back to just after the hospital and the kids were born and it kind of keeps jumping around…even before Mandy was pregnant.
I'm so looking forward to it and hope it doesn't tank!!!!

I have a feeling it will jump around each episode to tie in with whatever the twins and the other brother are going through. So maybe in the next episode the parents are going through a hard time in their relationship and it will tie in with the adopted brother (cannot remember his name) having issues with his wife now that his bio dad is in the picture… and Kate having a new relationship etc… Does that make sense?

Oh no for sure it makes sense – I guess what I meant is that I love Milo/Mandy's vibe and even though I'm married and I know people go through things, I just hope for the best for them haha (as if I personally know these fictional characters lol)
