I'm late to post, but regarding the photographer at the funeral–I can only speak for myself and a handful of other family members, but I was very uneasy about the photographers being there. Most of the shots that Emily posted were from after the service, when her and her children stayed behind. I remember watching this from a distance and thinking how much it looked like a choreographed photo shoot. She wore full make up and lashes…we didnt see her shed a single tear. I hoped that she wouldn't include these photographs in her blog, but I knew it was wishful thinking.

Emily had an enormous amount of help from friends, family, and church members. There were always people around. At one point they had to post a sign on their door, kindly asking people for privacy. She simply failed to mention any of this on her blog, which is fine.

I struggle with people assuming this is a "Mormon" thing and normal in the eyes of the church. This is definitely not normal behavior and shocked a lot of her "church community."

None of this shocks me in the least, sadly.  You could tell this was completely choreographed/staged and she was trying desperately to look like Jackie O:

jackie o funeral

Also regarding the last paragraph: I hope you all don't take that as a sign of disrespect of LDS, a lot of us are just genuinely curious.  hugggg

ETA: I also think a lot of us were HOPING this was a "Mormon" thing because that's the only way to rationalize WTF is happening others-221

I just don't understand any of this. If her attitude reflects the LDS mind set she isn't giving the church a very good name. It seems that if you will be destined to eternity together then death from this life is no biggie. idontknow

Something else I don't understand is the lack of mention of any form of help from her church during Martin's illness and passing. I have read other bloggers as they have gone on and on about all of the help from the Mormon church community when they had a serious medical crisis or death in the family. They mention meals delivered daily, lawns mowed, leaves raked, houses cleaned, children attended to, and the list would go on and on. So, did Foxy get help she hasn't mentioned or is her church community a hands-off sort of group, or is she on the outs with the church? Just curious.

(Maybe she was profusely thanking her church family for their help and support and I just missed it?)

Do any of these Mormon Mommy Blogs really give the LDS church a good name? They come across as overly materialistic, creepy, fake, lazy, and willing to sell their children's childhoods for cash. Even the LDS posters on GOMI insist that this isn't how the church really is. I think these blogs are a PR nightmare!

And SnarkerVee, thanks for the new user name! I haven't seen him with a glue gun but it fits!

rofl Ahhh, I'm weirdly honored regarding your user name.

P.S. The glue gun was my lame reference to her latest 'filling in the cracks' blog post about using fluffy gold spackle or some shit.

Totally NOT a normal LDS thing. Yet, there seems to be one of her in every ward I've been in, it seems.  Not a blogger necessarily but you get the idea.  FF is quite an embarrassment to myself as well as my friends.

We have a lady in our ward currently going through cancer treatment and everyone is helping out from meals, to carpooling kids and watching them after school, driving her for her infusions.  We just went and cleaned her entire house for her.  On top of that she and every female age 18 and older has 2 women assigned, who will help her out when in a pinch.  Sort of like a buddy system.  FF has them as well.  Oh and can I just mention that my friend who is stage IV REFUSES to have a GoFundMe page set up.

No offense taken, but thank you! It's all bizarre, so I understand the curiosity. FYI the You Caring fundraiser has been taken down.

Moving forward I do wonder what type of posts I haven't shared in awhile that you'd personally like to see come back?

Um, how about first discussing why you are still accepting money even though Martin is gone and you are remarried? Or how about a reflective post pondering if you are doing the right thing for your five kids giving them ONE more huge thing to adjust to so soon after losing their Daddy? Or how about explaining your reasoning behind having professional photographers at Martin's funeral?

WTF was that post?? eek

I took some push back about calling her a sociopath earlier, but I'm doubling down on it now. YOUR HUSBAND JUST DIED. "Here's to a great new week… 🙂 … How has October been treating you so far? … I'm seeing such positive changes everywhere, for the kids especially." THEIR FATHER JUST DIED. "The future feels so bright, but every day holds so much enthusiasm for them."

I seriously can't even. She may be able to immediately pivot to a new happy life just fine, but those children deserve so much more emotional support from their mother in this terrible time.

Maybe she should turn to fiction writing, does have a way with words…uh

Off topic, but I'm really thinking she's pregnant. There hasn't been a full body non-obstructed pic of her in like a month! She must be showing or something.

At this point, I honestly *hope* she's pregnant. It's the only thing that keeps that vomit of sunshine from being totally f**ked up.

I don't know what YouCaring fundraiser you are looking at. Following the link on her blog, looks like to me it's very much still alive, still kicking and still begging for money under false pretenses. Ugh!
