I don't know if there's enough to say about it to have its own thread (lord know they say enough each episode, lol) but this podcast is really a gem. I love their enthusiasm–especially the songs they write for the live episodes, though like someone mentioned in another thread, the filler (mail, listener questions, advice) episodes are my least favorite and I usually skip through. I listen to it at the gym and laugh out loud more than I care to admit. I also mentioned in another thread that the recent Pete Holmes episode was part mortifying and part fascinating. He was such a dick to them! My favorite guest episode was when Paul Scheer was on to talk about Pendelon Lott!

I love, love, love this podcast. They must such astute observations about the show. My favorite episodes are the ones with no guests–I just love their chemistry together so much.
Long time GOMI lurker, first time poster. I've been able to bite my tongue (fingers?) re: ETST snark (Mommy Blogger), but I just had to share in my love for Gilmore Guys! They so deserve the break they're on, but I'm getting the shakes…

I just wish they were a little shorter! I am a HUGE GG fan (have watched the whole series at least 30-40 times through) but even I lose interest in a podcast after about an hour.
How dare they take the week off! I'm watching along with them, and I want to keep moving ahead. They better start cranking out the real shows, too; no more mailbags, interviews, or other flimflammery.
Gilmail 10 (with Aisha & Ben) was far and away the best mailbag ep. I listen to all of them, but that's only because I have young children and try to drown them out from time to time.

Gilmore Guys is the first and only podcast I've ever listened to, so I don't have much to compare it to, but I just love these guys so much. I came in a bit late to the game, so I'm still catching up (just started season 5.) I only know a handful of people who love Gilmore Girls as much as I do, so it's fun to listen to their discussions and observations of the show. I've been dying for them to do Midwest shows, so I was super pumped when they announced the Chicago show. Kevin can occasionally get on my nerves, but I love Demi so much.

I am not a fan.
Demi is legitimately funny on his own, but Kevin is insufferable. I saw him in person at the Gilmore girls reunion and he was so condescending to his fans and spent the entire time living up the ass of the "stars" (really just the two kids from Parenthood). I was amazed at the way he would outright ignore people who came up to say hi to him and thank him.
And as a huge Gilmore girls fan… I really don't think Kevin (the one who's supposed to be the super fan) understands the show. Or even likes it all that much.

I really enjoy the podcast but agree they run a touch too long. Two hours is a long time, to be honest I often stop listening after 1 – 1 1/2 hours (and I don't listen at once, I listen when walking to and from work). But I am surprised to hear that about Kevin. He comes across as such a genuinely nice person. I also like that he and Demi are critical of the show when it calls for that, i.e. I cannot wait until I get to the episodes with the yacht/Rory/Yale (don't want to spoil for those who are watching for the first time). I like that while being huge fans they don't just rave about the show but are critics as well.
Side note: I saw them live in my town and they were even better than on the podcast. It was so much fun. If they come to your town you should definitely go! And while 2 hours, it went by really fast.

Demi makes the podcast.
I feel really protective of Kevin, cos it's obvious Demi is going to be a star and will probably leave him behind…

Is it though? Demi isn't a performer, he's a writer. And Kevin is in improv?
hopefully they both will as they're lovely. It's so heartening to hear younger guys talking about a show aimed at women but taking their analysis so seriously and not being awkward or 'no homo' about it. You can really see the contrast when they have older male comedians as guests. Gilmore Guys can SOMI forevs
