Private loans could also be "mom and dad" loans.  My catman and I took some money out of the Bank of Mom and Dad to buy our townhouse. smile

She just seems so hopelessly immature. I hope I'm wrong.

I think that's just a blog persona, because honestly, she has handled the motherhood thing as well as anyone. I mean, you have CailtlinHTP giving Henry "toys" made out of crap she has around the house, KERF complaining about everything Corn Dookie does as if a baby does things for spite, and Daily Garnish being codependent upon her 18-month-old to provide her emotional needs.

I think HRG is doing OK, despite how she comes off on her blog.

Does anyone think it's weird that she and Brooke are basically getting kicked out of the house during Billy's finals?

Nope. I backed off my husband while he was wrapping up his doctoral research and writing his dissertation.  It was kind of important to give him the time he needed to finish since his job was dependent on the degree and his degree gets us more money than mine.  It meant he stayed at work later hours to get stuff done, so I worked more & ran more.

high-five High five for being awesome, snarkyrunner. I always read it as a great sign of respect between the couple when one realizes how important it is for the other to focus on their studies.

I don't get it…what was so good about her last entry?

I liked the funny story about how Brooke ruined her shirt, but I wouldn't say it was particularly mature or good writing.

I was going through the archives again and she was nuts in 2010. She seems SO normal now by comparison – either that or she has learnt how to lie. One day she did spin plus stairs plus elliptical and then had breakfast of one piece of toast and an apple. And that was one of the days she had breakfast! She really seems to be doing much better now, I hope so for Brooke's sake.

What does Bangs Friend do? She always seems free during the day.

I just think her writing is so immature as in "the best cookie in the while wide world" and dumb stuff about hanging out with her friends EVERY SINGLE NIGHT for lunch and dinner (or so it seems).

I don't think many of those young Mormon women work…

I am guessing she meant one of the two posts after the shirt one… probably this one:  "Why working out helps me personally to be a better mom."

Yes, the "best most favoritist" ever is funny for a while but then you get sick of it. Especially when some of her bestest things she never mentions on the blog again…

Do you think HRG will go back to work or just stay home once Billy graduates? I think she really liked teaching, I would be sad if she didn't go back to a school because passionate teachers are really important for society (even if they can't spell, lol). I try to tell myself Bangs Friend works nights or studies, because I can't fathom the thought of a woman with no kids just…not working at all. Weird.

She won't go back to work.  She stated that her goal was always to be a stay at home mom.  Typical mormon.

Ugghhhh stay at home moms. They are the worst. rolleyes

I got the impression that she worked at a private school in Utah. She probably got paid 25k a year. My brother worked at a private school in a small town, taught six different high school subjects and made 17k. So…. I wonder if she even had her teaching license? Some private schools don't require it. It's not exactly worth it to put your children in childcare for 25k a year if your husband is going to be making plenty.

Not all private schools are like that.  I worked at a private school that paid the same pay rate as the public schools for that county.  (35K/year for a new teacher)

How so? I think if you can afford to do it, why not?  It's not for everyone but, some are pretty good at it. Janae seems to keep her days full with Brooke & running. I think Janae & Billy will probably have another baby in a few years.
