Breakups Mommy Blogging Kristen Howerton, of Rage Against The Minivan, is the latest of the first generation mommy bloggers to finally admit her marriage has ended. Elena, expert in the art of not making homosexual babies, has finally acknowledged that she and her robotic looking husband are no longer joined in a mutually beneficial financial arrangement. In her announcement post she says she is coming clean because divorce is “not a subject widely discussed or talked about” and “it should be”. I can’t discuss the whys here. It wouldn’t be fair to Lexi’s dad…I don’t hold anything against him, and hope to stay friends and parents and hope that with time he will not hold anything against me. Evidently they’ve been over for 2 years, which “some of you have noticed”, and Elena says she will finally be moving into her own house or condo. She tells other women who may be thinking about divorce that “It’s never an easy decision, but I think taking your time to make it, without emotions, using logic, can help make the right one.” She then vagueblogs that “it’s not good to be with someone who doesn’t love you” and says she would rather be alone. She concluded by saying this would be the “only post about this matter” and she also “will not answer questions, comment on the matter”, because while she’d like to “pour my heart out on the blog about every detail of the separation” she realizes it’s a public blog and “I don’t want anyone’s feelings hurt”.
Gala Darling, author of (what she calls) the “best-selling book” ‘Radical Self Love‘, has announced the end of her four year marriage. After 4 years of marriage, my husband and I have decided to go our separate ways. While Mike (and Dolly) have moved out, we are still extremely close friends and will continue to work together on my site, as we have been doing the whole time we’ve been together. We’re both excited to move onwards and upwards, and I’m so thankful that we have been able to end things amicably and with a lot of love. Speculation about the status of her union began over a week ago. It seems another one of her projects may also be coming to and end: the ‘Blogcademy‘. A few days ago she announced the last two classes in San Francisco and New York City, adding “these will probably be our last American classes ever”. She said there might be one last class in “London, probably… But that might be it!” Gala has been busy recently jetting around the world on what, in hindsight, appears to be some sort of ‘Sex And The City post-breakup getaway to Mexico’ trip. No word on what new projects she has in the works. We assume she is currently creating vision boards and practicing gratitude. Monica Bielanko, the Girl Who Overshares, and her husband of ten years are divorcing. He filed sometime last week, abruptly whipping the white papers from the bowels of his Honda and proffering them for me to sign, had a pen at the ready and everything, like some slick music exec trying to get the next big thing to sign on the dotted line. The couple separated 7 months ago and have since been basically bragging about how they are doing marital breakups correctly. Now Monica seems to be singing a different tune, claiming the past few months have been filled with self-medication. Whatever gets me through, man. Whatever gets me through. Balling up emotions, deafening music and beer. Lots of beer. Saying she’s “probably due for some sort of awesome public meltdown”, Monica concluded her post with a sad realization that probably resonates with many divorcing couples – “We are becoming strangers.”

Rumors have been swirling for days as ham detectives noticed the couple had stopped wearing their rings and appeared (via selfies) to be living in separate homes. Updates will happen as available.
Breakups Healthy Living Blogging Janae, of Hungry Runner Girl, has filed for divorce from her husband. Speculation began when it was noticed she was last seen wearing her ring on July 29th. The divorce petition was filed just two days later. There has so far been no mention of the situation on Janae’s blog, but on the day of filing she mentioned a sad event: I ran 8 miles Monday morning (7:45 pace) and the saddest thing happened. My hair tie BROKE. I had to run with my hair down for a few miles and it was not fun. Her husband has apparently now deleted all his social media accounts. Mention of her husband has also been removed from her about page. The news has come as a shock to many, since as recently as July 20th she posted about having a family date night. In news that shocked absolutely no one, Mr. and Mrs. Dooce finally decided to publicly announce their impending divorce.
