Dooce Instagram Internets Mommy Blogging Pete Ashdown, longtime boyfriend of Heather Hamilton aka Dooce, has confirmed her death. Armstrong died by suicide, her boyfriend Pete Ashdown told The Associated Press, saying he found her at their Salt Lake City home.
Instagram followers of Heather Armstrong, aka Dooce, woke this morning to find a bizarre post that seemed to announce her passing yesterday.
‘I’m basically a human selfie stick.’ Thus declared the 2015 video poking fun at the ‘Instagram husband’ – in those days referring to the spouses taking pictures of their wives for their curated feeds. It was meant as a lighthearted look at how husbands became unintentional participants in their wives’ social media careers, holding their iphone cameras as they posed and waiting patiently as their better halves took snaps of their meals and feet. For a few years the ‘Instagram husband’ faded away as content creators attempted to put some space between their personal private lives and their public personas. But now it seems the gram husband is coming back – and he’s not hiding behind the camera any longer. Heather B. Hamilton or Armstrong, depending on her mood that day, has reposted a heavily edited version of her bizarre anti-teen trans post. Apparently it was all some weird mind game because she ‘had to f*ck with everybody to get everyone thinking’. Sure, why not. Heather Armstrong, doesn’t seem well, has posted a bizarre rant on her website. It’s a 30-scroll TERFtastic screed informing the world that ‘[p]rogressive white moms need to sit the f–k down’ and stop allowing their children to decide their gender. At the peak of the George Floyd protests Heather Armstrong, still dooce-ing after all these years, has announced she is ‘a white woman in Utah who can remove herself from all media content that causes her anxiety to explode’. She then explained that she is being ‘silent’ about current events in order to ‘stay alive’ in the face of mean internet comments.
Dooce Instagram Where Are They Now Heather Armstrong, can go to Paris for a month and you can’t, returned from Paris full of vagueblogging. She started by hinting at “significant changes going on”, which most of GOMI correctly guessed meant moving in with her boyfriend.
