Healthy Living Blogging Instagram You may remember Stasia, fat gal who never got on a bike. She had her second GoFundMe ostensibly for weight loss surgery, but it seems the majority of the funds raised actually went to pay her rent and bills and finance her nights out with “friends”. Well, good news – despite claiming she was being evicted this side of 6 weeks ago she is somehow magically now able to afford this surgery. She makes it sound likes she’s been busting fupa for years and this is her only option. I have given it a go for 2 years now, and though I have lost quite a bit, I haven’t lost enough and I know I need this extra tool. She then launches into what looks suspiciously like a partnership/sponsor spiel. I will be using Dr. [redacted], in Tijuana MX. I was contacted by [redacted] and will be sharing my experience with you guys about going through them with the whole process. I’m looking forward to sharing all of the ups and downs and hopefully giving some insight about the experience of medical tourism, and take away a lot of the fear. People are really scared of the unknown. But I have heard, first hand, and read, nothing but great things about [redacted] and their entire process. I can’t wait to start this new chapter. 2017 is going to be a year to remember!! If you’d like more information, contact [redacted] of [redacted] When some of her followers naturally assumed this meant she would be getting a free surgery, and wanting to know wtf happened to the GFM that is still earmarked as ‘medical’, Stasia did her usual defensive rhino charge. why would I give any money back? When the money was raised and used for the surgery??…read my above comment. And it’s not for free. And of course her fangirls were quick to add helpful comments like “Even if the surgery was free, there is still travel and recovery time! People just jealous!” If she is not getting a comped surgery she might want to break down precisely how she is suddenly financing this operation. Because anyone with simple math skills can figure out, based on her own words of how she spent the fundraiser money on rent and bills and makeup, that the GFM money is long gone and probably not going towards this surgery. At the very least she could stop yelling at people and just delete and block if she doesn’t want to deal with it. Whining about haters and having social media slapfights isn’t a good look for a “celebrity”, Stasia!
Food Blogging Healthy Living Blogging Shauna Ahern, flour mogul, has updated her old Kickstarter to let everyone know the days of flour power are over. In a long rambling novella she shares the profound magic of her flour blends. Your contributions have helped to feed people. Your contribution helped mothers make cookies for their children who were recently diagnosed with celiac and feel like life would be okay again. Your contribution helped make Thanksgiving pies and Fourth of July cakes and birthday treats and the food of beautiful ordinary days. Your contribution helped give ease and comfort to thousands of people’s lives, people who have bought this flour and felt like life could be good again, even without gluten. But there was a dark side. Yesly and Band-aid Fingers struggled to understand the Post Office and suffered the heartache of “turning away from writing and cooking to focus full-time on a business we barely understood”. The flour business paid off all the people who had helped us with the Kickstarter. The business paid for the boxes to be printed. The flour to be blended. The 10,000 boxes of flour to be shipped to us. The storage fees. The lawyers’ fees for trademark and other work. The insurance on the flour. The postage fees to send out boxes of flour to nearly 1000 people. The money and time and postage for other rewards, including groceries for dinners and lunches. Payroll for ourselves. We were almost done with the Kickstarter money as the flour arrived. We had to learn shipping software and struggle with the post office… Shauna then reminds us – as she does every time she sits down at her keyboard – that she won a James Beard award, before announcing that she and her husband “didn’t have a steady job between us” and “didn’t know much about business”. And that after accepting a crapload of money to create and distribute a product and limping along for two years in this state, they decided they “didn’t want to do what we realized this path would require: give up our creative passions to make this work”. Shauna goes on to dismiss your complaints about your Kickstarter contribution rewards by saying I’d remind myself — and I would like to remind you — that this wasn’t a business transaction. You contributed to help us make this flour, not merely for a box or two of flour. Some of you have been angry, writing to me saying, “Where is my grain-free flour?” I understand. But again, this wasn’t money paid for flour, as people who buy the flour through our website expect. It was a pledge to help a cause with a promised reward as a thank you. So, too bad, suckas. They “have done our best” and Shauna doesn’t crave any additional success beyond…I dunno, living in a dirty kitchen and working in a grocery store? I thought about how the life I do have is enough. And wishing for more, for an empire, for money and security and a bigger house? It’s a ruse. It’s a lie. It’s what The Great Gatsby was all about. I feel like she did not read The Great Gatsby. Anyway, she winds down with her entry into the Pulitzer Obvious Statement category, saying “we’re not even that good at this”. Then she dramatically collapses onto her chaise, waving her handkerchief Wallace Stevens style, “Adieu, Adieu, Adieu”. I’m looking forward to the day that a mention of the Kickstarter doesn’t pinch my heart with guilt and regret, the day I can focus only on your generosity and kindness. Because Shauna just wants to get back to focusing on how Shauna feels and feeds. But thanks for the money!
Stasia2point0, oops she spent it again, is making good use of her latest round of GoFundMe revenue. First she paid her presumably overdue rent. She got herself more lipstick. Then, after a post saying she “had a pretty rough week”, she posted about going out with yet another newly acquired pack of rando “friends”. In case you want to send her more money to help her get surgery/pay bills/whatever the GFM is for today, she is now helpfully including the domain she just purchased which is pointed at her GFM page. Dig deep, internet fam! Her soul needs this!
Healthy Living Blogging Instagram Stasia Bowen, lost 100 lbs one time and has been coasting on that success for two years, has a long history of begging on the internet. Well she’s apparently broke again and back to holding a fire sale and GoFundMe. In a gram post she writes a novel length caption attempting to explain why she needs your money. …today I was presented with an eviction notice…Last week I went three days without electricity…My cell service also is currently off. I’ve postponed my VSG surgery as well, which is devastatingly heartbreaking…Anyway, I am selling anything possible. And this is something that will hopefully get me enough money to pay everything I need to…I will be okay though!!! I want you all to know that. I always make life work. She has spent the past few months flying first class to Younique conferences and buying Macbooks to “prove haters wrong” and just generally acting like a big baller #girlboss, so many people are baffled as to how she is suddenly being evicted and having utilities shut off. Thankfully a “friend” of hers has – of course – started a GoFundMe, to which Stasia added yet another statement that is so long and detailed it makes The Gulag Archipelago seem like a take out flyer. Saying she has “never been good at managing money” Stasia goes on to sell herself as a deserving recipient of donations. I have never had a savings account, my bills are often late, I have always lived paycheck to paycheck. I have had utilities and phones shut off COUNTLESS times over the years. So in the last year, while I really finally was making good money… I spent it! I felt like my business would always be amazing and never imagined it would take a gigantic dive like it did. I didnt save it. I joyously spent it. Like MANY people would do. Really makes you want to dig out those credit cards, eh? But it’s ok because she promises she is “looking for jobs”. Pony up, internets! Megan, ‘skinny’, loves to document her every breath via Periscope and snapchat. This includes snapchatting her children dancing around unbuckled in what seems to be a moving vehicle. She is SkinnyMeg31 on snapchat and as of now the snap is still viewable in her story. In several successive snaps the kids are dancing and singing in a vehicle that seems to be moving through what looks like a suburban neighborhood. Meg also appears to be driving the vehicle. Seriously, why do bloggers keep doing this?
Eric Hites Healthy Living Blogging Eric Hites and the Angie Gnome have completed their book and are now offering the beautifully bound story for sale on their website. They claimed it would be “simple yet be good for a first Grader” and say it was “printed and assembled by Angie and Eric Hites with a spiral binding”. It is “40 pages of content with pages for coloring”, though they don’t seem to have any images up showing the inside of the book. Kinda makes you miss Book Club, eh? Lynn, apparently did not escape obesity the first 39 times, is now jumping on the ‘across America’ bandwagon. I have plotted out a route across America on Google Maps, from coast to coast, and I’m going to ride that route on my stationary exercise bike. Yep, it’s Fat Mom Across America! This way I am committed to the ride but can do the miles without leaving home. Inspired by Forest Lump’s amazing tale of accomplishing nothing for a year before returning home, Lynn will use his story to motivate her as she attempts a “virtual trip” from coast to virtual coast. Part of what inspired me to do this is wondering: can I, at 245 pounds, do the same amount of miles that Fat Guy Across America can do at 560 pounds, even with my joint issues? If he can do it, I can too, right? I’ve tried to find a ride log on his site with no luck, so I am wondering how many miles per day he is doing and how far he has gotten. I can’t find his official route, either; there seems to be some driving and circling around and changing routes along the way, so I decided to pick my own route instead. That sounds…whatever, sure, awesome. Stunt weight loss is always a great solution to decades of eating issues and an inability to include daily exercise without making a big public performance of it. Just ask Ben and Eric!
