Hey Natalie Jean Book Preview Proves Anyone Can Get A Book Deal, And An Open Post

This is a quick post because it's five minutes until noon and I have to get ready to start drinking, but the sample pages for the 'Hey Natalie Jean' book are online. You can check them out here. I think we can all agree this is a tome worthy of a world tour. And we haven't had an open post in a while, so you can also go nuts about other topics if you like.

Rachel Keeps Humouring That Pushy Idiot

Rachel Sklar, person who writes stuff about something for something, continues to encourage shameless attention and swag whore Julia Allison in her bad behavior: Me: "How do you always get to sit in the front row?" @JuliaAllison: "Because I won't sit anywhere else." Aaah, so THAT's it.about 1 hour ago from mobile web That's right Rachel! Validate her actions! In fact, aspire to emulate her! Imply that you envy her! I would do it but I get my period every time I hear another "I'm so awesome I just elbow my way to the front and everyone" episode from Julia....

Emily Will Use Her Kid For Content Because It’s Easy

Emily Henderson, the official interior designer for professional bloggers, has decided that her formerly mostly design blog will now also heavily feature her baby. Saying her site content is "dictated by the traffic and the comments", Emily gets right to the point of why she has basically turned half mommy blog: Lately I’ve been pushing it with the amount of Charlie posts – its like I knew I was kinda doing too many but unable to stop because they are just so easy and cheap to do...So yes, when i’m exhausted from work and Charlie, and staring at the blank draft...

The Thinking Housewife Thinks The “Blacks” Ruin Neighborhoods

The Thinking Housewife, where white Christian Americans go to vent their spleen about the horrible non-white non-Christian turn America is taking, just posted a charming rant from "Alan". It seems "Alan" is angry because by golly gee willikers in his day St. Louis was full of white folks, and now those durned "blacks" have come in and ruined it - just like they ruin everything: The degradation by blacks of what once was a peaceful, civilized neighborhood is a law of nature as predictable as day following night...the reason for that is that blacks will make a jungle out of...

“Crappy Pictures” Finds Your Repeated Requests Worthy Of Public Mockery

Amber, illustrated with crankyness, returned from vacation to find her email inbox packed with 668 emails. Honestly, not too bad. I mean, it is sorta bad. But at least it isn’t over 1000 again. Amber continues whining, while attempting to assure ua she isn't whining, about all the emails from people asking her highness for things. No big deal, nothing wrong with people asking for stuff.  I usually reply, but sometimes I don’t. Fair enough, we all get email that we might ignore. Unfortunately one person continued to email several times wanting a response. Since there was a vacation auto-responder...

Paultato Head Still Sober, Writing A zzzzzz…Sorry What?

Paul Carr, TechCrunch's version of a "Baby On Board" sign, has updated us on his sobriety chips. I guess he's made it a month or something with only diet coke and himself to fall back on. How's he doing? Ah, yes, sobering up. So turns out it’s been just over a month since I had my last drink. This came as a surprise – when a friend texted me a couple of days ago to congratulate me – because it was only two weeks since I wrote about my decision to quit. But of course by then it had already...

Teenage Girl Steals Photos For Her Fake Childhood Cancer Blog

The Warrior Eli Hoax Group, the nickelodeon.com for adults, has been recently uncovering the story of childhood cancer blog "Remembering Reilly". It has now been revealed that the site, which claimed to be the online journal of the cancer struggle and eventual death of 3 year old Reilly Bowman, was started by a teenage girl: I’ve heard from the person who is behind this hoax.  She’s a junior in high school and she says she started the blogs after hearing Taylor Swift’s song Ronan...We’ve discussed why what she did was harmful and wrong, and I truly believe she is sorry....
