Tina Haupert, blogger over at the (organic!) yawn farm known as "Carrots N Cake", has finally confirmed what GOMIBLOG knew weeks ago. Even though Mal and I are super excited about this news, we didn’t even share it with our families until Thanksgiving. Yes, Tuna Helper is expecting her baby next June. Congratulations on the new content, Tuna!

Since last night the watered down version of livejournal known as tumblr has been informing users that changes to the infrastructure will inconvenience them. At intervals of about 20 minutes, many users are presented with various "maintenance" messages. Probably unrelated: former tumblr CTO Marco is working from home while rumored replacement Matt Langer is in Las Vegas. I guess nobody else is available to fix tumblr?

I'm kind of busy lately so here's some little news bits I never got around to posting the past couple of weeks. Amber Venz, RStyle queen, finally gave birth to her daughter. She and husband Baxter Box chose the name Birdie. Birdie Box. She's enjoying her postpartum leave by taking little Birdie Box for walks in outfits like this. Ok then. And if you're into nursery decor you'll be thrilled to know she went with the GOMIBLOG Forums favorite color scheme of grey and white (combined with what looks like some sort of mintish color on the walls). Jon Armstrong, serial vagueblogger, is vagueblogging again.  Shortly after helping his estranged wife reinvent her dying site, Mr. Dooce began posting his latest round of obtuse affirmations that sound like something ripped from an Oprah book club selection. Evidently that hasn't gotten him enough e-hugs from the crowd of slobbering middle aged women in his comments, because he stepped it up to a full blown post of "huh?" (more…)

Tieghan Gerard is finding the NYC late July weather a bit too chilly for her liking - she requires long denim jeans and a sweater to be 'comfy'.

Camilla Combs, aka "Cami", is apparently more than just the person who follows dooce around doing...whatever it is she does (we assume her job is making sure The Imperial March plays whenever dooce enters a room). She is a "stylist", "designer", and "photographer", and she has quite the eye for detail. From the cliche Essie polish to the meh handbag to the "lost all my money at the casinos and have to work the board walk for bus fare back to New York" shoes... Sunshine Mary,  anti-feminism hero and rape culture denier, has announced she is leaving the internet. I would like to let readers know that I have reached the very difficult decision to stop writing my blog.  This is a sad and hard post for me to write, but I feel that an explanation ought to be given here. I have been the victim of a vicious (and needless) smear campaign; this is not a problem per se, but my children have been brought into it and their safety and security has been compromised.  As a mother, I cannot continue to write this...
