thatgirlallison Is A Media Elite

thatgirlallison, wannabe famewhore and wearer of flattering tights, is hitting every party she gets a general invite for through Facebook. She not only attended the First Annual Obliterati "God We're Awesome" Awards, she also made an appearance at the exclusive MediaElities "Blowout" holiday thing and Wednesday's ASSME party. Such a busy popular girl, our Allison. Seriously this is why I am not impressed with this party circuit. It's just some bloggers and a bunch of randoms like Allison who get the mass mailer invites through Facebook. They show up and act like it's some kind of big geedee deal to...

Already Pretty Joins The Blog-To-Book Trend

Sally McGraw, personal stylist and blogger, joins the ranks of Cupcakes & Cashmere and What I Wore by producing yet another blog-turned-book. According to the announcement of her self-published effort, Already Pretty: The Book is supposed to teach you how to dress your shape and give you self-esteem through clothes or something: The book is packed with enlightening exercises, mix-and-match figure flattery techniques, and effective tutorials that illustrate how personal style can foster self-love and self-respect. Because as everyone knows, self-respect is based on wardrobe choices. Well at least this is a self published book, which means I don't want...

Jezebel To (Former) Readers: You're Commenting Wrong

I've been getting requests to look into claims that Jezebel, that angry chick website, is now banning commenters and moderating/deleting comments. Now, first of all, I don't read Jezebel because all the posts just seem to have such a lame "Can you BELIEVE this, ladies???" tone to them, and I really don't see the value in picking apart the covers of Cosmo. I also hated Daria, and that seems to be some kind of requirement to be a part of the site. But hey, some of yall love the site and are evidently getting pissed at the high handed tone...

Chris Loves Julia Is Reducing Sponsored Posts

Chris Loves Julia, practically begging the internet to accept them as YHL's replacement, were the victims of a "hate session" in their blog comments Friday. It seems some readers finally had enough of the sponsored posts and spoke up. One commenter pointed out that they "had to go back 6 posts for an actual non-sponsored decor post", while others said they now assume any post is either sponsored or a hint hint hoping for a sponsor. Well on Monday they pulled the Meaningful Partnerships Only card (9 points in Bloggers The Gathering) and declared they will no longer do indiscriminate...

Hey Natalie Jean Prepares For Worldwide Book Tour

Natalie Holbrook, who recently implied her family can't afford "private" pre-k for their child unless she bombards her blog with affiliate links, is apparently taking her 176 page vanity book on a worldwide tour. Saying she has "a gold saint christopher, patron saint of traveling, for good book tour planning juju", she claims her "first stop come april" is "berlin!" and went on to tweet that she'll be all over Europe afterwards - presumably promoting her 'book'. She also hinted she'll be jetting around the U.S. saying she was "having a hard time picturing which states came in what order...
