FGAA Will Try To Ride 50 Miles And Not Finish

Eric Hites, the begging biker who had to end his "Fat Guy Across America" ride due to heat, attempted yesterday to ride 50 miles - despite heat index predictions of over 100 degrees. He even claimed he intended to sell plasma at the halfway point of his ride saying he had "no choice at the moment" because "that drive from Dallas wasn't cheap". He decided not to go through with selling his plasma after his enabler army begged him not to, but the ride still ended in a predictable manner. So, I headed back home. By that time my water...

Meaghano Needs To Get Over Herself

Meaghan O'Connell, "Director of Outreach" whatever the that means, joins Julia Allison as one of the women showing men that women are a force in the tech industry! I just have one question. Who are these deluded girls who think the likes of Julia or Meaghan are somehow even IN tech? Ginger Midget up there is basically a glorified PR person/wannabe writer. Wooooooooboy really sockin to the misogynistic view that women can't code or admin! Really revolutionizing the tech industry's inequality to women programmers and sysadmins. Thank GOD for you, girl! Can tumblr please hire another woman already so this...

Anthroholic Issues…Anthro-pology

I KNOW, but it was just out there, I had to use it. Anyway, with allegations of theft and scamming floating around, the Bernie Madoff of Anthro-blogging has decided to cut off the story at the pass and issued this bizarre "lol sorry": An Apology I want to take a minute to apologize. I messed up and I owe it to my readers to apologize. As you may recall, I used to run a Personal Shopping Service on this blog. I am not going to make excuses, but I really dropped the ball and screwed things up with some of...

Mary Rambin Obviously Can't Use Old Photos

With the impending re-re-relaunch of Morte d'Mary, the lifestyle blog for rich people in Houston, Mary Rambin has been busy organizing her content, putting together her blogboard of future post ideas, analyzing topic trends, and managing her event calendar to bring us a totally new, interesting blog. Or, she's just going out and getting yet more pics of herself taken: Pulling clothes from Tootsies for my photo shoot tomorrow. It’s time for new pictures and I finally settled on a day to do it (aka the last possible second to get them done for the new MTM layout). Ok, look...

“The Facets” Enters The Internet Magazine Game

Following the likes of Matchbook, Brittany Abeijon and some other people have launched "The Facets Magazine", an online mag that urges you to "Embrace your diverse life". A once-over of their current issue shows it boasts such "diverse" things as a fall fashion guide, Halloween costume ideas, and tips for Thanksgiving dinner. What a refreshing change from the usual fall magazine fare, to be sure. There is also an entire page of "feedback" from readers that rivals the comment section of any popular blog, with such gushing praise as "Amazing first issue - LOVE it!!", and  typical trying-to-be-cute articles like "One...
