Hey Natalie Mean Still Opening Her Mouth

After some drama including an apparent breakup and later re-engagement, Hey Natalie Jean’s little sister is finally walking down the aisle. Natalie has expressed some barely concealed hostility towards her sister’s man in the past. Regardless, she and her Motherboy are obviously attending the wedding and she’s obviously going to be instagramming away the boredom of not being the center of attention.

Eyerollingly the family drama has already publicly reared itself in Natalie’s first image – Motherboy on a pile of luggage. When one of her fangirls mentioned that Natalie was on her way to a wedding, sweet kind perpetual foot snacker Nat responded with a snarky reference to the couple’s recent troubles, saying “I’ll believe it when I see it”.

Evidently Bratalie’s future brother-in-law has had just about enough and in true Lovin Family fashion brought that ish onto the internet:

lulzy

Oh to be a caffeine free beverage on that reception table. Keep it classy, Nat & Co.!

“Dadcentric” Blog Shutting Down

Peace out!

“Daddy blog” Dadcentric announced today it will be shutting down after 8 years:

This seems like a good place to end things here at DadCentric. The kids grow up, and so do the dads; the site’s run its course, and if we’ve done anything to contribute to the growth of the Dad-Blog-O- Community-Sphere, well, that’s a good thing.

Founder and Managing Editor Jason Avant offered no further details but thanked Dadcentric’s readers and contributors before saying maybe they would “get some of the band back together for other things”. The news comes just months after Avant announced his separation from wife Beth.

MWOP To Close Comments

MWOP, the site dedicated to documenting the antics of Jennifer “These Pills Help Autism” McKinney, has decided to follow in the steps of many other sites and close their comments.

Beginning with the new year, MWOP will transition from an interactive site to an information site. The commenting feature will be turned off and posts will no longer be published on a regular basis, but rather on an as-needed basis.

While some community members seem distraught at the news – saying “Mckmama wins again” – others seem resigned to the decision:

Honestly, this has been a long time coming. Perhaps if people could’ve kept to the FACTS and stopped the wild speculation we’d still be able to comment.

Admin Anja says the change is “necessary in order for the site to effectively convey information to readers without the distraction of comments”, and added that community members could email her in order to exchange contact information if they want to stay in touch.

“The Feminist Breeder” Banned From Facebook Again

The Feminist Breeder, a strong black woman, is having yet another emotional uproar. It seems she posted a picture of her topless daughter to Facebook, and the image was removed. In typical mature Gina fashion, she responded by reposting the image, along with a caption calling employees at Facebook “a bunch of perverts”. Not so shockingly, Facebook responded by once again removing the image, and then blocked her for 30 days.

I just… ugh. [****] facebook so hard. And [****] every pervert who reported that picture. I hope you rot in hole.

Yes, instead of just posting about this on her own blog in the first place, Gina poked the bear and then proceeded to whine when she got a claw across her face. Meanwhile, the Feminst Breeder Facebook page is making hay while the sun shines and dialing up the outrage to 9000000 decibels. Fangirls are planning revenge campaigns – everything from flooding Facebook with topless toddler pics to boycotting Facebook for a month. People are even tweeting at Randi Zuckerberg – who no longer even works at Facebook – asking her to talk to her brother about the situation.

Considering how draconian Gina is about deleting users and comments from her own outlets, you’d think she’d have a little more respect for Facebook running their company the way they want.

Natalie Jean Is “Honored” To “Look So Jewish”

As bloggers spent yesterday abusing instagram with overly staged and filtered images of their pinterest inspired dinners, Hey Natalie Jean The Fat Rat gave thanks for finally fulfilling “a lifelong dream” – letting a Jewish person think she’s Jewish:

so, i fulfilled a lifelong dream tonight! by columbus circle on jewish holidays there are always a group of hassidic men asking me if i’m jewish. i ALWAYS get asked (i suppose because i look jewish), and i always say no (i wish!), but i’ve always wanted to know what would happen if i said yes! so tonight when the nice hassidic man asked me if i was jewish, i said yes! well, no. actually brandon said “i’m not, but she is!” which was sweet. making a wife’s dream come true!
Saying that “being jewish would kick ass” she then expressed happiness that the portable Chanukah kit the Hasidic gentleman handed her “goes real nicely with the (electric) (blue) menorah we already have”. She then wished those of the “gorgeous faith” a “happy chanukah” and ended by saying she is “honored to look so jewish all the time”.

Dooce Returns From Haiti With A New Perspective

Dooce, awareness raiser, has returned from her trip to Haiti. Did she post a long, moving piece detailing what she saw, how it changed her view of her own privilege, and discussing ways to help the mothers of Haiti? Did she mention the goals and programs of Every Mother Counts, the group that took her to the island? Did she provide ways to donate to the cause or talk about various ways her readers could help?

Of course not. Readers instead got a post sponsored by a cruise line about her desert vacation with Noseride back in October. In addition to a couple of pageview increasing photos of her boyfriend, she informed us that she can’t wait until her children are older so she can take them on trips, saying a “whole new world will open up, a world of foreign languages and warm beaches”. These bastions of foreign language include Florida, Boston, DC, San Francisco, London, Vancouver, and Palm Springs. Oh what exotic learning experiences await!

She did finally get around to posting something about Haiti today – a pretty picture of pretty children going to church. Dooce bravely attended, perhaps fortified by her de-stress essential oil, despite “the blinding heat, an incessant and punishing temperature that never subsided”.

We await a post that might have something meaningful about the experience that would possibly justify her being part of what was totally not poverty tourism trip.

MamaPop Will Leave Internets Forever

Goodbye, Unihorses

MamaPop, sort of like Babble but with even less of a point, will be shutting down this month after 7 years online. “Amalah” explains that since the site founders have found real jobs now, they’re just sort of over it:

And to be frank, after seven years here, MamaPop is starting feel a lot more like a chore than a joy…So we’re done. The site will stay up until the end of this month, and then Mary Tyler Moore will pause at the door, turn around, give the ol’ place one last look (and a knowing, grateful smile)…and switch the lights off for good.

Saying they have instructed their writers to grab whatever content they created if they want to save it, Amy closed by reminding everyone that MamaPop used to do the now defunct Sparklecorn parties.
