Internets Jessica Quirk Jessica Quirk, fashion!, came to New York for “meetings” and “socializing”. By meetings she means one trip to “Random house“, which could mean the publishing company or the home of someone named Random – it’s hard to tell with her selective capitalization. Now I’m not a published author with a book deal for my book of Partypants Paper Dolls, but couldn’t she just have had a conference call? I’m sure there are things that require her signature or something, but that’s why they invented FedEx. Anyway. While getting ready to spend a few days at her pad of tears and run around having coffee with other shillbloggers, ole Messica couldn’t be bothered to properly pack: Just popping in to say holeo and share a few photos I took yesterday afternoon. I’ve had a really nice trip – great catch up sessions with my friends and some pretty exciting meetings. The only negative is that my packing skills on this one were not at their best and I didn’t bring much variety with my outfits. I’ve been more or less wearing the same thing the entire trip so no new outfit photo for today. Life just gets in the way sometimes, right? I think we can all agree that life DOES get in the way sometimes. There are days, weeks, I cannot do laundry or pick up my dry cleaning, or get to the grocery store because I’m just too tired after work. So I totally understand that maybe after working all day Messica doesn’t have the stamina left to plan three outfits to pack for her trip to New York. What’s that? Her job IS planning outfits? Oh. Well maybe New York has inspired her to really take her blog to the next level of shill: New things. New projects. New attitude. Switch, flipped.about 15 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® Any great small biz with awesome holiday gifts? Wanna do a boutique breakfast together? Email me!!about 1 hour ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® What a productive trip. She picked up a copy of “Ignore Everybody” because she really needs to learn how to tune out advice. She got a haircut which is most likely the reason for her lack of a pic, because otherwise it just means she couldn’t even be assed to do her JOB. She made plans to attend TED. Let’s be honest here. It sounds like she just wanted to come back to New York and fart around with her blogger friends again and get a haircut; and if she misses her New York life that much after only a month I don’t really see that whole move to Broomcloset working out. Seriously, how long is Mr. Schroeder going to put up with his jobless wife flying back and forth to New York to play grabass with her other blogger friends? You moved to Indiana, Messica. Stop trying to cling to the I LIVE IN BROOKLYN AND I AM A STYLE BLOGGER identity. She’s leaving this morning to go back to Broomcloset, thank God. Let’s hope her OMG HUSBAND puts a stop to this idiocy. Sarah Lacy, pleasant, finally got mad about something worthy: i’d remembered that three men and a baby was a bad movie. i was right. why is there always someone in full drag in 80s movies?7:21 PM Nov 3rd via web Oh come on. Not EVERY 80’s movie has a guy in drag, and she sounds like a judgy snoot for acting so “Well I never!” about it. I mean of all things to complain about that would apply to most 80’s movies: Crapty plots, or the low production values, or NEON NEON NEON MORE NEON PLEASE. No, let’s make a sweeping pronouncement that every – EVERY – movie made in the 1980’s has someone in drag in it. What is so offensive about drag anyway? Ok, I’m going to assume she is referring to the scene where Ted Danson is hiding Mary in a mumu and wearing a wig. It’s part of the plot!!! If she really wants to bortch about Ted in drag for no reason, I suggest “Three Men and a Little Lady”, specifically the scene where he is dressed up like Carmen Miranda when he phones Magnum PI and the Guy From Police Academy in England. I mean, that’s some awesome drag there. And yet millions of people thought nothing of it. OMG men in drag, turn this movie off! Christ bortch, not every movie can be Estragon and Vladimir musing about boots. Some people just want to see Ted Danson in drag and cute babies.
I think “feminism is dead” pretty much covers it. via RBRG –> Meghan McCain, qualified to discuss politics, is apparently doing yet another photo shoot. I guess between failing to sell books and deciding who is or is not a journalist, she doesn’t have time to learn sexy poses: Ohh for the love of god, I don’t know how to give a “meow pose” without “offending conservatives” and that ship sailed like five years ago.about 12 hours ago via Mobile Web Megatits: offending conservatives since like, omg five years ago! Next up tweets about how the pics are so sexy. Maybe TOO sexy. She’s sure right wingers will be so pissed! But she doesn’t care because she’s a fresh new kind of young hip Republican, ok??? Now, get over here and help Can’t Meows hoist her tits up for a totally candid pic. Jordan Reid Berkow Fail, shillmama, is apparently forming an alliance with another tragic victim of online bullying – GOMIBLOG’s Midwest Messica. what to wear to go meet @whatiworefor coffee? this would be an excellent day to own some rainboots. sigh.32 minutes ago via web Ok, first of all, how many times does it need to be pointed out to people that announcing you are hanging out with someone is totally lame social media climby desperate sads. Woooo attention everyone, I’m hanging out with so-and-so. Seriously dude? Second, what could these two POSSIBLY have to discuss, besides how it feels to be raked over the commenter coals on a daily basis? I mean after they’ve discussed being omgmarried, getting their hair done in New York, and wearing clothes, what else is there? And can you imagine being their waiter/barista? Mary Rambin, next to Godliness, stated less than a month ago that she did not talk about religion on her blog. She then proceeded to talk about religion on her blog pretty much every Sunday since. Yesterday she posted not one, but two delightful lessons from her walk with the Lord. First she tells us a little about the Ecclesia Church, home of Pastor Chris: “Prayer involves more than making personal requests.” In The Voice New Testament that we read from at Ecclesia, they offer side notes and insight to help you relate the scripture to your everyday life….The community at Ecclesia is one of the most compelling components about the experience. Everyone in the room, genuinely wants to be there. No one dragged them out of bed, made them put on uncomfortable clothes, or forces them to pray. With enthusiasm and passion, these followers gather to explore their faith amongst others with the same devotion. The energy that comes from that kind of love is indescribable. So when I sit amongst these people, I feel safe and supported to open my heart, reflect on my life, and truly see what I want for myself and what I have to give to others. I believe the community we create in our lives everyday should yield the same. I’m pretty certain that any adult sitting in a pew “wants to be there”. I don’t know how that is somehow a barometer of the awesomeness of your worship group, but ok. Let’s just get back to today’s Bible Study With Mary. On to her second post where she shares her totally enlightening “kill them with kindness,” “turn the other cheek,” “flies with honey” approach to people who hate her: The visiting pastor (I don’t think he ever said his name) offered two pieces of insight today that I was thankful to be reminded of. The second note made me think of one tactic I use in my life to help me forgive others. Even though I’m not 100% happy with a person, I will do something nice and thoughtful for them so I can focus on the things I love them. The act of thinking about things they enjoy and actively securing something I believe will make them happy allows my thoughts about them to be positive. The result is that the person knows I truly do care for them and I have made one more step to heal. Healing is different for everyone. And it’s never an easy process. I believe if your heart is in the right place, and you’re honest with yourself and others, then you will heal. That’s all very well and good, but pretty much has zilch to do with the grist of the second “message”. Anyway, like any good social church goer Mary zipped out of the sight of the Lord and straight to the bar: Caroline snapped this as we’re enjoying yet another perfect day in Houston on the front porch of Hudson Lounge. I wrote about this place the other day as the new Houston hotspot. It hasn’t even opened and it’s packed every night. Kinda pissed people already know about my little trendy hideaway in Rice Village. The modern and minimal decor with Buddah bar lounge mix really makes you feel like you’re in Rio, Miami, anywhere but Houston basically. So another busy Sunday of God and hooch for Mare Mare. I’m sure she’s right back at work this Monday morning! Brooklyn rejoiced today as Jessica Quirk, former somebody, returned to the scene of all her bortchiness: After a long weekend in the woods, I’m NYC bound. Meetings, meeting, meetings. And friends. And a haircut. about 8 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® Apparently one reader is tired of Jessica Quirk, but I’m not. I simply cannot stand this person, especially when Our Lady Of Bum comes back to NYC with this attitude: Stinky cab and traffic!! Yay rah, I’m in nyc! about 1 hour ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® Then stay out of NYC, Jessica. It’s not like we spent the last three weeks in a prayer circle hoping you would return. If you hate it so much then just stay out in Broomcloset and Crap out kids, and let us enjoy New York without your entitled c**tiness.
