Midwest Messica, that bottomless well of vapid that is turning GOMIBLOG into Reblogging A Married Chick, totally doesn’t look pregnant and is Bi-Btown STYLICIOUS!!! Or something.

The whole outfit has a relaxed 70s vibe to it. Late seventies, almost early eighties even. I like pairing together black when it had different textures – the felt of the hat, the leather jacket and the kooky woven black sweater. I’m also still in love with this skirt (wore it first like this). It’s denim and in a classic denim skirt cut, but a lot more something than a blue jean skirt (blegh!). This is definitely something I’d wearing in Brooklyn or Bloomington with ease.  Thanks to my friend Erika for snapping this photos!

After she finished up her hard day’s work of putting on a skirt that fits over her bump, she took to tumblr to dress down you losers!

Remember 2008 when tumblr was all like.. WHOA OBAMA! We all love politics! Look at us young democrats (myself included)? I haven’t added or dropped that many people I follow since then and all I see it crying the morning after instead of months of political rants and debate live blogs, ENTHUSIASM, etc. beforehand. Why so different this election?

Also, since then I’ve become a lot more apathetic about politics. Probably because even though we vote and call ourselves democratic, we do not live in a true democracy.

I know a lot of people think it’s important to sound aware and smart. So of course Messica needs to chime in with some lame observation about how non-political tumblr has become, and what that says about us all.

Shouldn’t she be getting busy getting traffic to That’s Shilly so she can start getting free house stuff?

I’m not going to even start on how she’s basically phoning it in with her What I Wore posts now, since it’s pretty clear she will probably be focusing more and more on That’s Shilly (hey that $2000 bedding isn’t going to pay for itself, ya know). Seriously, I am disgusted by this shameless namedropping, hoping the companies will see it and send money. I think the only way to calm down from this rage is with a nice chilled glass of Franzia, a delicious delivery of extra sharp cheddar and cat food from FreshDirect, and some new clothes from OldNavy.com. You beg bloggers revolt me.

Midwest Messica, love child of Mary Poppins and Jesse James, is sort of confusing us on exactly WHAT it is she’s doing all day. She has said something about a shared workspace situation, but her latest post implies she has some sort of co-workers:

I don’t really have a problem with wearing things I like over and over again, but this whole taking-a-photo-everyday-for-three-and-a-half-years thing always makes me want the next day to look a little different.  Documenting something like this each day has definitely molded my choices, both with what I buy and what I put on each day. So the reason I ended up happy with this look was because so many people on the street commented on it! A couple people told me they liked my hat and a co-worker told me I looked ‘very put together’. It’s so nice to hear a compliment in person once and a while.

Seriously, does she just have some temp office job or something now? I just hate to think this isn’t some actual co-worker at some part time job, but just some random person sitting on the couch next to her at that place. Because when 75 people a day on the internet telling you you’re pretty and stylish isn’t enough, badger that virtual stranger next to you at the Bloomington Internet Cafe into further validating you.

It would just make her life so sad to me, especially when it sounds like she’s behind the bed clutching a pillow and chanting to herself:
