“Running To Africa” Needs You To Pay For Her Adoption Like Right Now

Joining the ranks of Sami and The Paper Mama, Running to Africa has taken to the internet to implore strangers for baby money:

We are weeks away from traveling to Ethiopia for Court, the first of two trips required for the adoption process.  In order to complete the final steps in bringing our daughter home, we need to raise $7,000 in a matter of days.

They are “asking each of you to give $10 and then to pass this on to 25 of your friends, asking the same thing”. In addition to money they “need a twin size bed for our daughter.  If you are able please consider donating a twin bed” because obviously they can’t be expected to procure basic items for the child they plan to adopt.

They claim “we don’t have any other choice” but if you knew you were going to pursue an international adoption wouldn’t you arrange your financial needs a little better? It’s not like you wake up on a Tuesday and think “I want to buy a kid from Ethiopia!” and then realize you need $7,000 bucks within a few days. Wouldn’t you know this was coming and plan accordingly?

I just don’t understand this trend of baby money begging on the internet at all, but it needs to end already.

Kelly Oxford Will Shame Litterbugs

Kelly Oxford, seriously does anyone have any idea what she does besides twitter, made a never-done-before joke about America at the conclusion of her special “excuse for skinny white lady to post bikini pics” vacation. Namely, that Americans are fat and spread trash around. Shortly after ending her trip home on what appears to be a private plane, Kelly instagrammed the above pic with the caption “These fat basturds just threw all their trash on the road. WELCOME TO AMERICA!”

Ya know, I think litterbugs suck as much as anyone else. But I don’t see the need to post their pictures without permission to my instagram and call them “fat basturds”. I get that her schtick is try-hard edginess and all, but wtf was the point of this?

BabyRabies Demands Excellent Service

Jill, uncrowned royalty from the house of Entitled, just wants to take her screaming, easily bored small children to a restaurant. I know, ugh, person with kids, why don’t they just go to McDonalds? Don’t worry – to make the experience easier for everyone, she has provided a handy dandy list for the service staff to follow while she is there!

The list includes totally reasonable requests like “Take my kids’ order fast” because apparently her kids get bored quickly, as well as an order to “Acknowledge my children”. She also advises waiters to “ Clean our table as we go” so forks don’t end up on the floor, and to always serve her children’s drinks with a lid.

But before you think she’s just another entitled mommy who thinks she is owed special treatment by the world, she reminds you (a couple of times) that’s she’s a SUPER GOOD tipper. She also waited tables for a few years, so she knows how easy it is to drop everything and laser focus on the needs of the throat clearing, arm waving mommy. So no excuses, people! Because god forbid a mother be treated like any other customer!

Dooce Community Defends Sex Offender Then Bans Victim Of Abuse

The Dooce Community, or DoCo as the doocepoodles call it, is in an uproar after three days of drama surrounding the outing of a Level 3 Sex Offender as a member of their community. The outing led to several DoCo members defending “Slappy” saying it wasn’t a secret, she pled “no contest” so she’s not guilty, and dismissing any outrage by saying “What do you think a level-anything predator can do to you? If you don’t give that person access to your physical space, how on earth can they actually harm you?”

The Paper Mama Would Like You To Pay For Her Surrogate

Chelsey Andrews, of the Paper Mama Andrews, had a horrible medical emergency giving birth in 2009. Because of that, she doesn’t want to risk another pregnancy; but she needs another baby. What to do? Why, do what everyone else does when they want another child –  ask the internet to pay for it, of course!

My husband and I have been wanting to start our journey to surrogacy for a while, but we recently learned our insurance will not cover this. We will have to cover 100% of the costs…

I know for a fact we will have another child. Whether it’s by surrogacy, or adoption, we will have a brother or sister for our kiddo. Both are a ton of money. Goodness. Sooooooo, that brings me to my Go Fund Me. It’s a site dedicated to raising money for people/situations/whatever. I set up a page to begin raising money for surrogacy.

Yes, Chelsey has created a GoFundMe page asking for $55,000 in order to pay for a surrogate to carry her second child. I mean, this is just what you do these days when you can’t afford to get another kid – ask the planet to pony up and fund the expansion of your family, right? Hooray internets!

That Wife Needs More People To Raise Her Kids

Jenna Cole, on Good Morning America and don’t you forget it, recently confessed that not only does she have her 3 year old son in daycare, she also has a part-time nanny:

Well evidently that’s no longer enough “me time” for Jenna – she’s now looking for even more childcare help:

For someone who thinks all women want to do is have kids, she sure seems to be seeking a lot of ways to not have to deal with her kids. Can someone tell me if this much childcare help is required for your average middle class stay at home mom? I mean, I don’t have kids so maybe it’s totally normal to have your childcare outsourced to this degree when your supposed “job” is raising your kids.
